The Bible Speaks: "WHY JESUS CAME--BY L.W. EMMERSON AND pacific Press Pub. pp.105-107.

My thanks to the two mentioned in the title line. [John B]

1)  Why cannot God, The Father, reveal Himself directly to sinful man?
Exodus 33:20  "And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live."
2 Thessalonians 2:8 " And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"

NOTE(JB) Sin nor sinful man can exist before God, without being changed. [ 1 Corinthians 15:50-66] We must accept and take on Christ's robe of righteousness. Those who refuse at His return will perish, because, ALL who want nothing to do with the very source and sustains all life, will be granted their wish and god will remove his life-sustaining spirit, and they perish!.
It is really all that simple! the only one's who will taste the Lake of Fire, when it shall be,  created, will be all those who rebelled and rejected Christ! Simple is it not?

2) What means did He adopt to make known His will after the entry of sin,[ (JB)  by Satan?]
Hebrews 1:1-2 " God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"

NOTE(JB) The Father does not play games with us, keeping secret that will show us the path to salvation,. It is for this very purpose that the Holy Bible was written and preserved through time! Yet in-spite of Satan's attempts to change, to remove many words and even whole verses, to date 2016, the message for salvation  is not lost in any Bible format.

3) How did men treat the revelation of God through His prophets?
2 Chronicles 36:16 " But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy."
Nehemiah 9:30-31  "Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.  Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God"
.Matthew 23:34  "Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:"
Matthew 24:24-25 " For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before."

NOTE(JB) Sadly today most Christians, are fully deceived, and follow false teachers, by their Sunday worship on the first day of the week rather than on the Seventh day Sabbath. [Gen 2:1-3; Exodus 20:1, 7-11. and John 14:15]

4) Through Whom did He finally speak to men?
Hebrews 1:2 " Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"

5) What id The Father-God primarily seek to reveal in Jesus?
John 1:18  "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."
Matthew 11:27-28  "All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." [Luke 10:22]

6) How perfectly did He make known the character of God?
John 14:9  "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
Colossians 2:9. " Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily".

7. What example of submission to the will of God did Jesus set?
John 8:29  "And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him"
Psalms 40:8  "I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."

8) How did He demonstrate the possibility of a life of victory over sin?
Hebrews 4:15-16 " For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

9) By His sinless life what did He condemn?
Romans 8:1-4  "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

10) Having revealed by His life what man was intended to be, what blessed gift by grace, which is by One Man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many., did Jesus offer through His death on Calvary?
Romans 5:15-17  "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)"

11) What will the acceptance of His gift of grace effect?
1 John 1:7 " But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

Note: Henry Ward Beecher: "When we sin we are not going against a cold unfeeling law; but we are striking, with cruel hand, direct at the living loving heart of God!", Notes from the Plymouth Pulpit p.31.

12) How complete a deliverance from sin did He make?
Matthew 1:21  "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."
John 12:45-48  "And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."

NOTE(JB) Christ shall be our Judge, and advocate, as He was subjected to all sin and overcame the world.. All  judged by the law of the Ten Commandments, for they are The Father's character, and Glory!

13) What glorious prospect has e set before the saved sinners?
2 Peter 1:11 " For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

14) I there any way back to God The Father other than by Jesus?
John 14:1-6 " Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Acts 4:12 " Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

NOTE(JB) To all my Catholics friends and neighbors, does Mary's mane enter into this equation?  NO! There's NOT ONE word in the God's Word about Mary being anywhere but in her grave!

Mark 7:13  "Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye:
.Matthew 15:3 " But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"
Matthew 15:6  "And honor not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition."  {CORBIN the giving of one'sent's house to the temple so son's and daughters need not take care3 of Mom and Dad when they are old.
Colossians 2:8 " Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

NOTE (JB) This church holds that her 2,000 year old "TRADITIONS" have a greater weight than the Holy Bible!

15) How should we respond to such a Savior?
Acts 16:31  "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

Thanking YOU for your time.
