THE BIBLE Speaks:" A TEST OF LOYALTY" X W.L. Emeerson

I thank the author, and The AUTHOR of The Word, and Pacific Press Pub. pp 213--215 ( John B)

  1) For what purpose did God gather the Israelites at Mt.Sinai?
Nehemiah 9:13-14  "Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:  And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:"

2) Which Commandment was singled out for a special mention among the Laws which wrote to all?
Nehemiah 9:14 " And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:"

NOTE (JB):  The words   ...." Sabbath" is used 61 Times in the O.T. & 56 times in the N.T.
...... My Holy Day used 3 times in O.T & 56 times in the N.T.
                   ....... Sign used 46 times in the O.T. &   25 times in the N.T.
                  ......  Memorial appears 32 times in the O.T. & 0 in the N.T.
From this Y O U dear reader must decide upon how important Saturday's Sabbaths are to The Father-God and to Y O U! Those following the edicts from Rome, are among those Christ died for, ..for their sins!

3) What indication is there in His 10 Laws that it was not new to the Israelites?
Exodus 20: 8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy."

Note: Adam Clark's commentary on this verse: "As this was the most ancient institution, God calls them TO REMEMBER IT; as if He had said, Do not forget that when I had finished My Creation I instituted the Sabbath, and remember why I did so, and for what purposes."

4) To what does the Fourth Commandment trace the origin of the Sabbath rest?
      A)  Exodus 20:11 " For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it."
      B) Genesis 2:1-3  "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."

NOTE(JB) Sanctify;* N.B. 'QADASH [KAW-DASH'] Strong's 6942-- Appoint, Consecrate, Hallow, Keep Holy, Proclaim. Thus it was the Creator, of all, that created this "REST" day the Sabbath day! Please note in the face of severe persecutions, the people of the Jewish faith have kept this Seventh-day, period! Yet one faction call it the Jewish Sabbath but look at this Bible verse:>>>>
Mark 2:27 " And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"

All in Rome, please take note! Follow not the deceiver!

5) What was this to be a continual reminder of and for?
Exodus 31:17-18 " It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."

Note(JB) There's nothing in History anywhere, to indicate that the days of week, as we know have been changed in their order.I n fact the Bible specifically names or identifies, only three (3) days, Preparation Day n{Fridays] Sabbath the 7th day, and The First day of the week , {Sunday] Monday was the 2nd day, Tuesday was the 3rd day and so on!
Today's names for the days are all pagan names: Sun-day for the Sun-god, Monday for Moon-day the Moon goddess, Wednesday  (?)   Thursday is "Thor's day" the Viking god of war. Fryday is from the Germanic god-des Frie, " Saturn-day", is from the the planet Saturn, Satan's mane-sake, and all are so named by Pagan men!.Julius Caesar created the Julian calendar, and in the 1500's Pope Gregory XII made the Gregorian calendar, and removed some days from August, for a ONE-TIME event to put the Summer equinox back for their Easter holy-day.. However the weekly rotations of days has remained unchanged! There are however zealots, who have printed up calendars showing that Saturday, is the first day of the week, making Sunday the SEVENTH DAY! By the way December 25th is the Spring equinox, Christ was born during the 13-19th,  of August! [Luke 1, the Course of Abia, is on our June 13-19th,now read and do the math! ]

Please read Exodus 16th chapter, and Mark 16:1-2  "And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun."
Luke 23:55-56  "And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment."
Luke 24:1-3 " Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus."

Does this not show that the Bible proves itself, within itself? (jb)

6) What additional reason for Sabbath Keeping did God give to the children when the law was reiterated to Israel at the close of Moses' death?
Deuteronomy 5:15  "And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day." [The rest of the law, pointing to men, is found here as well.JB]

7) What Spiritual blessings would the Sabbath also keep in remembrance?
Ezekiel 20:12  "Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them."
* Note: Sanctify, for meaning please, read above, SVP..

8) In addition to enjoining the observance of the Sabbath day, what warning was given to them and to us today?
Leviticus 19:26  "Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment,[divination/witchcraft] nor observe times." [fortune telling, palm reading Tarot Cards etc.]

9) To what did the prophets point as one of the most evident signs of Israel's lapse into apostasy?
Amos 8:4-5 " Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?"

NOTE(JB) As today, its all about the buck, and Sabbaths? Well business as usual right? How many go to church on Sundays, come home change clothes and mow the lawn or do their garden?

10) What punishment did god declare He would bring also on Judah if they persisted in profaning the Sabbath?
Jeremiah 17:27 " But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched." {also read Vs.20-26]

11) What immediate reform did Nehemiah cal for upon the return from captivity?
Nehemiah 13:17  "Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?"

12) What dire calamity did he declare the people would bring on Jerusalem again by profaning the Sabbath?
Nehemiah 13:18 "Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the Sabbath."

NOTE(JB): If Y O U, dear reader think this si only for the Jewish brethren look>>>>

Galatians 3:29 " And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

NOTE(JB) IF, you, dear reader fully believe in Jesus Christ, as YOUR personal Savior, then  YOU, are also an heir according to the Promise, you are an Spiritual Israelite!
Now does one PROFANE the Sabbath? By not observing in it and by doing your will...

Isaiah 58:13 " If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:"
Joel 2:1 " Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;"

NOTE(JB) Day of the lord? At the 7th Trump. the day of the Advent of Christ's return, when every eye shall see Him!

The Bible Speaks: "WHY GOD CAN NOT HAVE A RIVAL".

Many thanks to both W.L. Emmerson and Pacific Press Pub, p.187-190. [John B]

NOTE (JB):  Contrary to many of earth's "religions" there is but one Godhead, consisting of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit! The "religion" Christ taught, is the ONLY true way to live this flesh life, all. . .  ALL. . .other's are but man-made religions, some holding no truth, others bit and pieces of God's truth! Which is THE WHY this man says: "Never, ever take the words of men, no, not even this man, for the Word of God, learn that for yourself!!"

1) With what affirmation does God preface the Ten Commandments?
Exodus 20:1-2  "And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage."

2) Over how many does He claim sovereignty?
Jeremiah 32:26-27  "Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard [ or difficult] for me?"

3) What then can HE not tolerate?
Exodus 20:3-4  "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"
Note(JB): There are those churches, who have many carved or craven images within and without.

F.W. Farrar, "The Voice From Sinai", p. 110. "This first commandment, 'I am the Lord they god, thou shalt have none other gods before me.' is nothing less tha6t the key to the whole of man's existence" It is the eternal basis of all worship and of all morality."

NOTE (JB): Sadly there's not much of either in the world these days!

4) On what grounds did God claim Israel's exclusive allegiance?
Exodus 20:2  "I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage."

NOTE(JB): What about the rest of humanity?
Genesis 1:1 " In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
IF. . . you, dear reader, have built, bought or rent a house, is it not your right, to determine who may or may not enter? God owns the whole of creations because HE CREATED IT! Man's science regarding this evolution thing, is from the fertile mind of Satan, and those he has deceived, and designed to remove man from God! Now please, with the evening news in mind,  I would say Satan's well on the way to succeeding, at least right now!

5) On what wider basis does god The Father, claim man's worship in a later (the 4th) Commandment?
"For in six days the LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, and the sea, and all that in them is" Vs11 P_lease read Exodus 20: 8-11.
NOTE(JB): Please look at the Upper case letters, above, and think of a "Official Seal of Office", in which all have the Name, (LORD) the title (MAKER/CREATOR) and territory ruled, (HEAVEN AND EARTH)  IS THIS NOT GOD'S SEAL OF OFFICE?  Selah/Think.

6) Besides His creative and life-sustaining powers, are there other grounds on the which God has a right to ask for our willing,  worship?
Psalms 99:5  "Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy."
Psalms 138:2-3  "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. In the day when I cried thou answerest me, and strengthenest me with strength in my soul."

NOTE(JB): do not be surprised at this last verse, as He is our TRUE FATHER, none are even conceived, with His will, that YOU and ME even exist, and our very next breath is only as per His will!  WHY?
Genesis 2:7  "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
You see, our soul, IS HIS breath of Life, thus remove it and we are a dead body, as a soul we have life, as does all life that breathes and moves, thus death is the opposite of creation of humans!
Genesis 3:19  "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."

In the Bible the words, spirit of man, breath of Life, are oft interchangeable. For they mean the same thing. There's much confusion on the matter of "Where are the Dead"? Due to the fact that most are taught error, as in die and to to either the good or the bad place, yet neither is truth...
2 Peter 3:7  "But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."
Jude 1:6  "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day"
If one is NOT taught or shown the WHOLE TRUTH, then we have as we have today, some 43,000 so-called "Christian Denominations"! By the way, the Root Meaning of this word denomination comes from denominator, in Math it's the number that;'s left over after dividing, now THINK, who is forever trying to divide men from God but Satan?

7) How wholehearted, then, should our worship be?
Matthew 22:36-40  "Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets"

8) In spite of the fullness .of God's revelation to men of Himself, what perversions of worship have arisen?
Romans 1:22-26  'Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.26.  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

NOTE(JB): Served the creature  ?  All of God living creations are His CREATURES, but this one is Satan! Whom we serve when one knowingly and willingly sin against the Word, as in VS.26! You know that IF one whole human generation all succumbed to the gay life style, we humans would become extinct, thus this is not natural, and against nature of mankind. [Please know that they also are God's children, and should be treated as such]

9) To what else beside creatures of the earth have men worshipped?
Deuteronomy 4:16-19 " Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven."

10): In what other way has worship also become perverted?
Colossians 2:18  "Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,"
NOTE(JB): How can we avoid false worship?  Colossians 2:20  "Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,"

11). Though men may scorn the worship of heavenly bodies, angels, saints and the lower orders of creations, {birds, animals] what may we make into gods?
     A. Riches:   Matthew 6:24 " No man can serve two masters: [obey the religious laws of human doctrines JB] for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."  [Philippians 3 :7, 19 Proverbs 6:9; James 4:13 and Matthew 6: 19-24.]
    B. Desire for Temporal {earthly stuff] Colossians 3:15 "Covetousness, which is idolatry"  {Idolatry is anything one places between self and God!}
C: Appetite   :Philippians 3:19  "Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things."
    D. Worldly Pleasures:   2 Timothy 3:1-6  "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  Traitors, heady, high minded,[self-absorbed, prideful] lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,"
E: Lust for power,  Daniel 11:37-38 " Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things."
F: False Philosophies: Colossians 2:8  "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

NOTE(JB) One example of a vain philosophy is evolution. Because it tries to explain away God and His Creative powers! Satan worship, worship the earth via "Mother Nature" or Ghia!

12) Of what... is all false worship a denial?
Job 31:28  "This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above."

13) Having clearly revealed Himself to me, is there any admissible excuse for false worship? \
Romans 1:19-21 " Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."

14) What estimate does Paul place upon the intelligence of the worshipers of created beings?
Romans 1:21-22 "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, "

15) What special manifestations of idolatry would be seen in the last days?
1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"

NOTE(JB) Examples? evolution, man's soul is eternal, die and go to one's reward, hell-fires are now and have been burning, etc, etc.. none of these are Biblical.

16) In what will the idolatrous worship of the last days be finally concentrated?
Revelation 13:4  "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"

17) To counter this terrible apostasy what final appeal is to go forth to mankind?
Revelation 14:6-7  "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

THE BIBLE SPEAKS: ""WHICH LAW WAS NAILED TO THE CROSS"? PP.173-177.

AGAIN MY MANY THANKS TO Author W.L..Emmerson and Publisher Pacific Press 1948.

1) What was Christ's thinking about The Law of God, prophetically revealed?
Isaiah 42:21  "The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honorable."
Psalms 40:7-8  "Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."

NOTE(JB): Why is this topic even discusses here? Because of the many false teachers, proclaiming that the law, the whole law of God, was nailed to His cross, and we are now under !grace This is bluntly, false because they include the Ten Commandments in this and they are but a reflection of God's character thus everlasting.
Why do men do this?  To explain the reasons why they follow the commandments of men in Rome, and worship on their chosen day Sun day, the "Venerable day of the Sun god!" Why think anyone that man can change God's law that are written on stone for eternity? Please THINK!

2) By what declaration did Jesus fulfill this and other prophecies concerning His relation to the Law?
Matthew 5:17-18  "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

NOTE(JB): The word FULFILL in the texts is PLEROO (play-ro'-o) from Strong's 4137 which comes from 4134 means tto teach, to complete, to perfect. Please read Matthew 5:18-48 to complete.

3) How are those who depreciate the law of God regarded by Jesus?
Matthew 5:19-20  "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."
James 2:9-10 " But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

NOTE(JB): James is the half-brother of Jesus, and look what he was guided to write! THINK!

4) On thew other hand, who are approved in God's sight?
Matthew 5:19 "........ but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

NOTE (JB) To all Bible teachers please take note of the above verse and the the following:
2 Peter 2:1 " But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."   PLEASE THINK!

Never, ever take the words of men for the Word of God, know it for yourselves! WHY? Man can't save self, let alone Y O U!

5) Did Christ actually demand a standard of righteousness of His disciples?
Matthew 5:20 " For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."
James 1:22 " But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
Romans 2:13 " For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified."

6) Did Jesus not teach and urged obedience to the ceremonial law?
Matthew 8:4  "And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them."

7) How did He regard those who set up the commandments of men in place of the Law of God?
Matthew 15:3  "But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"

NOTE(JB) Do not most "Christians" do this to this day? With Sunday worship, Easter eggs, and bunnies, as well as Christmas as the Birth day of Jesus when Luke has the info to to tell all it was in August?"   All thanks to the men of Rome!

Matthew 15:4-6 " For God commanded, saying, Honor thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honor not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition."

Note(JB) Corban, the non-biblical Hebrew tradition of children turning the home and it's goods over to the church, in place of them taking care of their elderly parents!

8) While Jesus taught the obligation of both moral and ceremonial laws during His ministry, what was it prophetically declared He would do at the Cross?
Daniel 9:27  "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

NOTE(JB) I've asked this question of my Jewish friends: "If you've rejected Christ , why did you stop the daily sacrificing of the lams morning and evening? " They have no answer!  Regarding the above verse from Daniel this "WEEK" is split into two equal halves of 3.5 years. Christ's ministry lasted for the first half, the apostles for the last 3.5 years, until the stoning of Stephen, [Acts 7:59]  when the Word was passed to the Gentiles! Thus no National forgiveness, no Salvation by Inheritance, each must come to the Savior Christ, on their own choice.

9) What comment does Paul make on the termination of the sacrificial system?
Colossians 2:14 " Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; "

NOTE(JB): this verse has been used to justify the the human moving of the God's Sabbath for the Seventh day to the FIRST day of the week, by Rome, and 96% obey her!-------Colossians 2:16 " Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy-day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:"
Those who obey God's Laws and worship and rest on the seventh day, eat only clean foods are to reject the world's criticisms, but the world takes this verse to mean, any day can be the worship day { I worship every day some say, then I say you never work always rest?} Plus the worldly take this verse to mean they can eat anything!  So why ignore this>>>>>Isaiah 66:17  "They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD."
Swine is pork, pig,  and is part of God's Sanitation department as are ALL of the unclean foods in Leviticus12-14.[Animals the are ruminants, {chew the cud] and have split hooves. Unclean have one bot not ever both, in marines life, they clean must have fins and scales, shrimps crabs, and  clams have neither. As does catfish and sharks. All the unclean are either carnivores or scavengers or both!
Anyone want a "Breast of Vulture sandwich?"

10) What evidence have we that some Christian teachers failed to recognize that Christ brought an end to the ceremonial laws?
Acts 15:1  "And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved."

NOTE(JB) Male only circumcision is today ONLY for sanitary reason not religious reasons, as per the Word of God

11) How did the apostles correct this false teaching?
Acts 15:24 " Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:"

12) When Jesus ended the ceremonial laws , by His death {for He WAS/IS the Lamb slain, for our sins] did He also abrogate {do away with] the moral law?
Romans 3:31  "Do we then make void the law [God's Ten Laws] through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."

NOTE(JB): The LAW of God and the Gospel, can not in any way or fashion be separated one from the other, for each points us back to Christ and  The Father.

13) What does the Morel Law, the Ten Commandments, still demand, and always shall, of the believers?
Romans 6:22-23 " But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"

Note: The ritual or the ceremonial law, delivered by Moses from God, place next to the Ark, while the Moral Law The Ten Pillars, written by God in stone and placed inside the Ark! The Ceremonial laws were "Nailed to His Cross" because HE was the final and ultimate sacrifice, therefore abolishing ALL the previous ceremonial laws and annual holy days. Those that observe the Annual Sabbaths or Feast days, are by their acts rejecting Christ ever walked upon this earth and gave His life for us!

   WHY? He came tpo fulfill the law not to destroy, but to fully complete the Law..{of LOVE}

14) How perfect a conformity to the Moral Law is required of the Christian?
James 2:10  "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

NOTE(JB): That means all TEN as found in Exodus 20:1-17. and not rejecting God's 2nd nor moving the day for the 4th, and then splitting the 10th into two parts! {For ignoring the 2nd!} As does Rome! even-though their own Bibles agree with Exodus 20!!!! But their Book of catechism does not! Go figure!

15) How is this righteousness made possible in the life of the forgiven sinners?
Romans 8:3-4  "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

NOTE(JB) NOW, do YOU dear reader, grasp the import of Christ, and YOUR acceptance of Him and His gift!It is the powers of Heaven, that gives us the ability, if we so choose to, obey and live a perfected life, ONLY because of the Holy Power!

16) How will the believer's love to God be made manifest?
1 John 5:3  "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous"

.Hebrews 8:10 " For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:"
Is this a part of the "NEW" covenant?  NO!  Look>>>>

Jeremiah 31:33 " But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people."

The Bible Speaks: "BORN FROM ABOVE" by W.L. Emmerson,, Pacific Press Pub.1948. p.147-151.

As always my many thanks to both above parties, John B.

NOTE(JB): Many call this "Born Again", But the title is more on point.

1) What qualification is absolutely essential to an entrance into the Kingdom?
John 3:1-3  " There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

2) How incredible did the new birth appear to Nicodemus?
John 3:4 " Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"

3) By what illustration did Jesus explain the nature of the new birth?
John 3:8 "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."

NOTE(JB) We ca NOT see micro-waves, such as radio, T.V. and satellite signals, but we know they exist when we turn on our Radio's or "Smart Phones' DO WE NOT? DITTO FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT!

4)How was Paul led to describe the process of death and regeneration {resurrection]?
   A) Crucified with Christ: Romans 6:6-7  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin."

NOTE(JB): Only with Heaven's help can we humans "Die to self", if we have truly so died, we are free from sin, but that's part of the justification process, over time!, unless it's God's will to be instantly perfected!

Note: James S. Stewart "The Strong Name" p.13  "The sinful soul does not recognize, and by the very nature of the case is precluded from recognizing, what has been going one within itself. It might seem natural to suppose that every time a man sins, he would know a little more about sin, its nature and its methods. Actually the exact reverse is true. Every time he sins, he is making himself less capable of
realizing what sin is, less likely to recognize that he is , in fact, a sinner; for the ugly thing (and this, I feel sure, has never been sufficiently grasped), for really diabolical thing about sin is that it perverts human judgment"

B) Raised with {and by} Him? Colossians 2:12-13 " Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;"

5) What terms are used of the new birth to indicate the various co-operating factors by which it is brought about?
1 John 3:9 " Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.:
John 3:8 which tells us.."Quickened {made alive] us together with Christ."
Ephesians 2:5 " Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)"
1 Peter 1:23-25 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:  But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you."

6) By what is this regeneration of the believer symbolized?
Romans 6:4-5  "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:"

7) How completely is the new believer's new life in Christ dissociated from the old life of sin?
2 Corinthians 5:17-18 " Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; "

8) Of what new nature do we become partakers through regeneration?
2 Peter 1:4 " Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust".

9) In what vivid way does Paul describe the new life of the believer?
Galatians 2:20-21 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

NOTE(JB):  Vs 21 tells us all, that IF The Ten Commandments were able to make man righteous, then Christ needed not to have died!

10) How is the Holy Spirit associated with the regenerated life?  [
Romans 8:9-10  "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."

NOTE(JB): Regeneration is to be made new, while yet living, but it is not a resurrection from the dead, for the dead know not anything..Therefore can't repent, nor seek forgiveness, fates are sealed at death! .Ecclesiastes 9:5 " For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." ]

11) What profound promise is then given?
      A) Ezekiel 11:19-20 "And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God."
     B) Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

NOTE(JB), be not of the worldly, the masses are nearly always on the wrong side. For they accept the words of man, above the words of God! It is the Holy Spirit, that does the work within us, which I describe as His re-wiring, re-booting our brains, to think in right-doing.

12) In what ways will the new nature show itself?
     A) Spiritual interests:     Romans 8:5 " For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit."
B): Loving God's Law..... Romans 7:22  "For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:"
C): Love for all others: 1 John 3:14 " We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death"

13) For what does God look in the life of the regenerated soul?
Ephesians 2:10 " For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."14): Bt what visible test may we determine whether we are 'born of God'?
1 John 2:29  "If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
1 John 2:3  "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments."
NOTE(JB): That's ALL TEN, not 9 as most "Christians" observe, not the Seventh-day Sabbath but obey Rome and worship on the First day Sun-god day!

1 John 2:4-6 " He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked."

Thanking Y O U for your time.

The Bible Speaks: "BLESSINGS OF FORGIVENESS" by W.L. Emmerson. Pacific Press, Pub. pp 139-142.

My many thanks and Gratitude to all who made this book possible. John B.

1) Who ONLY, has the right to remit punishment and forgive sin?
Isaiah 43:25  "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."

NOTE(JB) How can any man even think that he can remit punishments and forgive sins of another human being? In view of this passage..... Romans 6:23 " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Is this not as man saying that while they forgive and give absolution to the sinners, in some confession booth, that they have power over God's job of forgiving man's sins! What do YOU call, blasphemy?

NOTE(JB) As a young teen, I had a friend, that was an American Native, and I asked him, what in his culture they described the human conscience,. He knew not his exact age but that he remember spending 80 winters, and this was in the mid 1950's! This is what I learned. " When we are born the Great Spirit punts inside our hearts a very sharp stone, and when we do something we know to be wrong, the stone begins to spin, and that hurts our hearts! But when we keep doing wrong, over time, the stone is worm smooth but our hearts becomes very hared!"  I've not ever forgotten that story, and if one thinks about it, it point one! Today, there are many people, with very hard hearts!

2) How ready is God-The Father to exercise His mercy towards the sinners?
Exodus 34:6-7  "And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation."

3) What did God's Holiness by necessity, impose upon His mercy?
Hebrews 9:22  "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission"
.Romans 6:23 " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"

Note: "The terms are most direct and most explicit. They are not repentance or good works, but the SHEDDING OF BLOOD, and this is one why, why Christ needed to die!

NOTE(JB) .Genesis 9:6  "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

Please know that humans were closer to God, in those days, thus able to render honest verdicts, without prejudice, or political aspirations, that confronts in these last few hundred years! I for one am glad to error on the side of caution, and allow Christ to judge us all at the end! For there is NO unsolved crime with The Creator-God!

4) By whom have the conditions of forgiveness been met?
Acts 13:37-38 " But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:"

\NOTE(JB) Please read, very slowly and carefully the The Second Psalm, with prayer asking for the wisdom needed to fully understand it! It points to the requirements to be able to stand in that Great Day that Christ returns!  All who shall not be able to stand, at that time have already perished! Thus choose YE this day whom ye shall obey, for whom ye obey his servants ye are. Serve ye God or serve ye Man? Serve righteousness, or serve those who lie and deceive you?
Harsh?  Yeah! But how kind is death, everlasting?

5) How did Jesus make forgiveness possible?
Ephesians 1:5-7 " Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"
1 John 1:7-8 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

NOTE(JB): We, each, need to claim Him daily, and re-invite the Holy Spirit, into our hearts, to rule as is His The Father's will, and asking for His help and guidance to "Die To Self", so that Christ lives more fully within us!  None of this can we accomplish by our own powers!BY the way: All of humanity has been Predestined or chosen for Heaven, it is we that need HIM!

6) By virtue of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, what is God the father willing to do for those who are convicted of sin?
Job 33:28-30 " He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.  Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,  To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living"

7) How completely is God repaired to remove the guilt of sin?.
Isaiah 1:18-19  "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:"

8) How far will He remove our transgressions from us?
Psalms 103:12 " As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."

9) What does The Father say concerning the remembrance of sins, repented of and confessed?
Hebrews 8:12  "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."

10) Howe supremely blessed, therefore, is the forgiven sinner?
Romans 4:7-8 " Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin."
Psalms 32:1-2  " Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.  Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile."

11) Believing the promises of God, for what did the psalmist pray?
Psalms 25:7  "Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD"
.Psalms 25:18 " Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins."

12) How did he testify to the forgiveness of his sins?
Psalms 32:5 "I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah."

13) For what does Jesus encourage believers to pray for?
Luke 11:4 " And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil."

14) Is there na sin which God will not forgive?
Matthew 12:31-32  "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

NOTE(JB): If one keeps ignoring The Father's calling, He removes Himself farther and farther away, and after a time, the sinner will no longer be able to hear His calling, and thus is lost, blotted out, as if never even existed!  LOOK>>>>

15) What makes this sin unpardonable?
John 16:8-9  "And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  Of sin, because they believe not on me;"

Note: If the sinner refuses to be convicted of sin, by rejecting the Holy  Spirit's pleading, obviously there can be no pardon,; for there no other messenger of mercy to follow!

16) If we claim forgiveness from God how should we relate ourselves toe who wrong us?
Ephesians 4:30-32 "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Colossians 3:12-13  "Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."

NOTE(JB) Those who want God's  mercy MUST be prepared to give it, to all others!

17) Should there be any limit to our forgiveness to others?
" Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven."

NOTE(JB): This number 490 is the same number of years that Israel's people were given to remove all sins from their lives, or loose their National Salvation, and thus must come to The Father through Jesus Christ, just like all others must do as well!

NEXT: "JUSTIFIED BY FAITH."  [sadly many are taught, that this comes only by works, and NONE is able to earn Heaven by their own works or efforts!"

The bible Speaks: "WHAT IS CONVERSION"? by W.L. Emmerson, Pacific Press, Pub pp.134-138.

My many thanks to the above mentioned entities, I know not if this is in reprint, as my copy is from 1948. John B.

1) What universal call does God make to sinners?
Acts 17:29-30  "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:"

NOTE(JB):  As God IS our Creator, and as HE IS AND HAS sustained of our lives, He is in the position of command, don't you agree?

2) For what purpose did Jesus come among men?
Luke 5:32  "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Matthew 18:11 " For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."

James S. Stewart, "The Strong News" p.15 "We can thank God that every twinge of conscience we feel, and every spasm of remorse that ever troubles this tragic world, is a token of life and a herald of hope."

3) What was the constant theme of His preaching?
Matthew 18:3  "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
Matthew 4:17  "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Matthew 12:28  "But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you."
Matthew 19:14  "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

NOTE(JB): A child like trust in Jesus, is what we need to pray for, plus to fully surrender to His will within that trust/faith! This is not possible for us to do by our selves, and why we need to surrender our will to the Holt Spirit, that we have asked to dwell in our hearts/minds!.....Jeremiah 13:23  "Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.."

4) REPENTANCE, how can we define this term?
Ezekiel 18:30-32 " Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.  Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye."
the human race!

Samuel M. Shoemaker, "A Way of Renewal," Religion in Life. ,Vol 12, No. 4,pp. 485, 486.
"We can never remind ourselves often enough that the chief action in Conversion is God's actions upon us!.[JB only IF we are willing to accept this} When we are first converted, it is often because we4 are unhappy over the sins from which we ask to be released; and this is natural. At some time in the process of Christian Conversion-whether before it begins, or afterwords, we must come to appreciate something of the real meaning of Christian redemption. The holiness of God, our estrangement from Him through sin, the Cross as the sign of God's readiness to span the distance between Him and us--- these things may sound very old-fashioned to one who merely contemplates them; but they are the only explanation that fists the facts for one who has really discovered the 'exceeding sinfulness of sin', and has been lifted from it by the power of Christ. We come, through conversion, to a life that has been provided for us, not one which we can create for ourselves. God's part in our conversion is always the primary part....Our part in the conversion is self-surrender to God and His will.  {{this is the most difficult part, plus the fact that we may have to"unlearn" ideas taught to us from childhood, to fit within God's Words of truth!]  If this is not to be but a fleeting emotion, if it is to get us into the will and be a permanent possession, it must be filled with actual moral content. We must surrender, not just in general, but specifically the sins of which we are conscious at the time. The further renewal of our surrender must involve confessing and banishing the actual sins which have crept in since we made our first decision."

5) Why.... must the turning from sin to god be clear and uncompromising?
Matthew 6:24  "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." [ avarice, the love of wealth]

6) How wholehearted must the repentance be of the sinner?
Joel 2:12-13  "Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil."
Hosea 14:1 " O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity."

7) What appropriate words does the LORD suggest the returning sinner should bring to Him?
Hosea 14:2  "Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

8) In whose name may the sinners confidently present his plea?
Acts 2:38  "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost"

9) Of what does God further assure the repentant sinners?
Isaiah 55:7-9  "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

NOTE(JB): Please do not allow the enemy of all, deceive with his idea, "I am a New Testament Christian"  because the Old Testament is the foundation and the frame of the "House of God" His Word!Plus Revelation, the Book of, has {"Borrowed" about 1/2 of all the words and symbols from the Old Book, thus making Revelation of and by itself not understandable! Thus one loses.>>>>
Revelation 1:3 " Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."

10) Besides revoking the punishment, what will God bestow upon those who turn to Him?
      A. A new Heart:  Jeremiah 24:7 " And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart."
Ezekiel 36:26-27  "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them."

B.The Holy Spirit:  Acts 2:38  "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

NOTE(JB) Many times the term A New" Heart", actually means a new mind, a new ans better way of thinking. The heart after all is but a muscle, magnificent yest but a muscle, without the ability to think or reason, that's the mind's job!

Acts 26:28  "Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian."

Note: ALMOST PERSUADED! Yet lost! I pray, dear reader, that does not fit YOU!

11) How will true repentance manifest {show] itself in one's life?
Matthew 3:8 " Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:"

NOTE(JB) What is then also equally true?
Matthew 3:10 " And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire."

Note: "The Greek word for repent implies a righabout face. It looks on sin to deplore and confess, but the swings round sharply with resolute will to tread a new path, God does not will us to remember that which He is willing to forgive and forget!
\
NOTE(JB): Repentance gains forgiveness, yes! It means the relationship is restored.. However sins have consequences, that we shall not escape from, the smoker shortens his or her life spans, ditto for most of the habits that harms our health, or breaks His laws!

12) To whom did Jesus intend the Gospel of repentance to be preached after His departure?
Luke 24:47 " And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem"

13) How earnestly did Paul fulfill the gospel command?
Acts 20:21  "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

Note:: ,"Repentance looks back and forsakes, faith/trust looks forward and accepts."  W.N.Clark.

14) What reward did Paul have for his labor?
2 Corinthians 7:9  "Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing."

15. What are God's people today, exhorted to do?
2 Timothy 2:24-26  "And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,  In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."

NOTE(JB) Sadly , many today do not accept the fact that Satan, even exists, so why think they that there's many who worship him today? As Luciferians! Yet the preaching of sins and perishing, without preaching the Hope message, is also a sin!

NEXT:  "THE BLESSINGS OF FORGIVENESS"  [To be forgiven of your trespass against another, is a great relief, and lifts up our  spirit. Therefore, forgiveness benefits all. As well as re-establishes our relationship with God and Christ]

The Bible Speaks: "Conviction of Sin" by W. L. Emmerson, Pacific Press Pub. pp 131-133.

Again my sincere Thanks to the two above entities. John B.

1) How anxious is God to deliver man from the consequences of the transgressions of His law, that is sin?
Job 33:29-30  "Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,  To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living."

J.S. Whale: "Christian Doctrine" p.37.  "We are 'rediscovering the abysmal depths of evil in the hearts of men , and realizing that Public Enemy Number One is neither ignorance, nor stupidity, nor defective social environment, but SIN, which is the deep mysterious root of all evils."

2) What appeal does the Father make to the sinner?
Haggai 1:5-6 " Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.  Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes."

3) What part has the Spirit of God in convincing (and convicting) men of sin?
John 16:7-9 " Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  Of sin, because they believe not on me;"

4) For what type of a response does He the Holy Spirit look for?
Psalms 38:17-18 "For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.  For I will declare mine iniquity;   [confess of  my sins, and repentance power is then received by us]  I will be sorry for my sin."

NOTE(JB) If the so-called 'Modern Man' is not worrying about his sins, that simply shows them that they have not closed their eyes and looked upon the Cross holding their Savior between Heaven and earth, having died, for their personal sins!

5) In what way does godly sorrow differ from remorse?
2 Corinthians 7:10-11  "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter"

NOTE(JB)  The above is akin to "Die to self"., by one's total surrender to the will Of Christ! It is only possible with the power from Heaven!

6) How does God relate Himself to those who truly sorrow for sin?
Psalms 34:17-19  "The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.  Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all."

7) What will godly sorrow cause a sinner to do?
Psalms 32:5  "I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin" . Selah.[think on this fact]

Note: "True confession is always of a specific character, and acknowledges a particular sins. They may be of such a nature as to be brought before God only; they may be wrongs that should be confessed to individuals who have suffered injury through them; or they may be of a public character, and should then be publicly confessed. But all confession should be definite and to the point, acknowledging the very sins of which you are guilty" E. G. White, Steps to Christ, p.43.

NOTE: (JB) Yes there is much and great hatreds towards this lady, who had not ever printed or authored a book, in the which she has not referred back to the Bible as our main source in information. We must remember that Satan hates, above all, the TRUTH OF GOD!
Revelation 19:10  "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

8) To whom else beside God should confession be made?
James 5:16 " Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

9) How specific should be the sinner's confession?
Leviticus 5:5  "And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:"

10) By what will true confession be accompanied?
A: Restoration where possible. Leviticus 6:4 " Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,"
      B. Forsaking of evils.  Proverbs 28:13  "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."

11) What is God willing to do for those who truly confess and forsake their sins?
1 John 1:7-10 " But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."

NOTE(JB) Only the Living God-Creator can promise and deliver on this promise! Men can not!

12) What is the condition of those who, in spite of all the efforts of god, remain un-convicted of sin?
Proverbs 14:12  "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
Galatians 6:3-4  "For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another."

13) What do those who fail to heed the Lord's appeal despise?
Proverbs 15:32 " He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding."

Note(JB):  Sorry but most who reject the Bible do not understand it, and have tried to read it without prayer asking for wisdom to understand it! This is the why many a Ph.D. has read the word and declared it nonsense!

14) What fate do they invite upon themselves?
      Proverbs 29:1-2  "He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.  When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."  PLEASE read Proverbs 14:12 again and again! {JB}

15) What admonition should we earnestly heed?
Hebrews 12:25-26  "See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven"

NOTE(JB) He destroyed all but 8 humans once before, and He'll shake this earth again in times yet to come!.

The Bible Speaks---"What is PREDESTINATION?" w.l. EMMERSON. PACIFIC PRESS -Pub. pp.127-130.

My many thanks to the above mentioned for their great effort. John B.

Predestination: A much discussed topic, and admittedly much of it is mis-taught, even from the Pulpits!

So lets clear up one of the greatest errors in Christendom------

1) How many are included within the scope of this saving love of The Father- God?
Psalms 145:8-9  "The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.  The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works."
2 Peter 3:9  "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering  [very patient]to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

NOTE(JB) In other words dear reader, ALL have been predestinated or chosen to be in The Father's Kingdom, but all people will choose Him! I personally have been told, "I'd rather serve eternity in hell, than five minutes in Heaven"!  Sorry The Father is NOT going to give eternal life to those who reject Him and the Son! That's what the Lake of Fire in Revelation 19:20, will accomplish! Where in they shall all those so cast in, shall become.....

Malachi 4:1-3 " For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear   IN AWE OF, TO REVERE ] my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts."

When one is reduced to ashes, is there still life present in the ashes? NO!

2) What, then is the Father's desire towards ALL mankind?

1 Timothy 2:3-6 " For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

3)  For how many of us did Jesus die for?
Hebrews 2:9  "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man."

4) To how many is the Gospel to be announced?
Mark 16:15-16  "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

5) How is this universal offer of salvation gained by the individual?
Read the above passage again! Note the difference between believing and not believing, is the difference between eternal life and death! As both shall be eternal!

NOTE(JB) Why should this be so? Jesus Christ took our place, as all have sinned, thus need to die for  AND WITH, our sins, IF we reject Jesus and His gift of love for each one of us! Because we refused to release our sins into Jesus, we shall die with our sins, that HE died for!

E. G. White, STEPS TO CHRIST, P. 57. "It is the privilege of all who comply with the conditions to know for themselves that pardon is freely given for every sin. Put away the suspicion that God's promises are not meant for you. They are for every repentant sinner. Strength and Grace have been provided through Christ to be brought by ministering angels to every believing soul. None are so sinful that they cannot find strength, purity, and righteousness in Jesus, who died for them. He is waiting to strip them of their garments stained and polluted with sin, and to put upon them the white robes of righteousness; He bids them to live and not die"

Deuteronomy 30:19 " I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: "

NOTE(JB) Please read 1 Timothy 2:3-6 again for those who only follow the New Testament!

6) What justifiable condemnation is pronounced upon those who refuse the Gospel Message?
John 3:17-21 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

NOTE(JB)  All who shall perish, are those who have chosen to be lost, forever! None who want not to be lost, shall be saved because they have accepted and surrendered to Christ!

7)  WHY can this be so?

Ephesians 1:4 " According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:"

NOTE(JB) This verse shows us all, that ALL of us were chosen even before birth, To be with The Father and The Son forever!

8) What term may be appropriately applied to the saints?
1 Thessalonians 1:4 " Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God"
NOTE(JB) Does this not show that GOD, not men Create Saints?

9) In what sense, however, is this "election" to be understood?
.1 Peter 1:2 " Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied"

10) How is this truth expressed else-where?
.Acts 13:46-48  Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye [ The Jews]  put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed."

NOTE(JB) The red shows why National salvation can no longer be granted to the Jewish nation, each must come to Christ as all other must also! There's no salvation in Heritage, but in and through Christ Jesus only!

!!) How does God regard His elect?
1 Peter 2:9 " But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light"

12 What plan has God made for those who are responsive to His call and who, in consequence, are His "elect"?
   A) They are predestined to son-ship.    Romans 8:28-31  "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"

B) They are predestinated to righteousness.  Ephesians 2:10  "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

C) They are predestinated to glory: Romans 8:30 " Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."

D) They are predestinated to inherit the Kingdom.  Ephesians 1:11  "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:"

13) What fate has He determined upon the wicked?    Proverbs 16:4  "The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil."   Proverbs 11:31 " Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner."    Psalms 37:9-10  "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be."

NOTE(JB)  Proverbs 16:4 God did not make or create beings that chose to do sand be evil, HE has given each one a free-will to chose, to do, good or evil, including Satan.

14: What PERSONAL responsibility will all the wicked have for their own fate?
Proverbs 1:24-26 " Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;"
Proverbs 1:28-33  "Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.  But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil."

15) Can God's elect be torn from His hand?
John 6:39-40  "And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day"
.John 10:28-29  "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."

17) What did Paul exercise that he might not fall from Grace?
1 Corinthians 9:27 " But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."
NOTE(JB): The mind CAN control the body, if one so wills it!

18) How does Peter counsel those who have been "called", and "chosen"?
2 Peter 1:10  "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall"

Summary: Predestined, Predestination, all have but one meaning and purpose: "The Creator God, has called e3ach human Creation, to be by His side forever in a close and personal relationship! Won't you respond to this His call to YOU?"

NEXT: Conviction of Sin:: {{Sadly in most so-called Christian Churches, the speaking out against sin is not very popular, because it does not "Tickle the ears"!

2 Timothy 4:3-4 " For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. "

This is the very reason why all or at least 96% worship not on the Seventh-day Sabbath, but on the Roman Sunday the First day of the week, and now run back to Mother church, forsaking the millions who shed blood for the Bible's truth! There are few "Protesters against Rome doctrines these days! Yest she has publicly stated that it is she who changed the Sabbath day, and it is she who holds her own traditions above the Word of God, the Bible! John B.

Part 5. The Bible Speaks. "Grace, what is it, how does it meet a sinners need.

Thanks to W.L. Emmerson and Pacific Press Pub. pp. 123-126. [John B]

First, what is GRACE? It is God's gift, to mankind, in reality we can't earn it, do not deserve it, therefore it is a gift of UNMERITED FAVOR!

1) What question relating to salvation did a certain young man ask?
Matthew 19:16 " And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"

2) How did Jesus reply?
Matthew 19:17 " And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."

3. Can anyone claim that he , or she, has earned life and salvation according to this standard?
Galatians 3:11-12 " But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them."

NOTE(JB) It is our love for Jesus, that allows the true believers to fully surrender to His will, and obey the 10 laws.

4) Because of sin, to what are all men condemned?
Romans 6:23  "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

5) What attributes of God's character comes to the aid of the condemned sinners?
Psalms 86:15 " But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth."

6) What provision has the Father made available to man in Christ?
1 Corinthians 1:4 " I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; "

NOTE(JB) Without The Father's Grace, all mankind would be lost and perish.

7) What is the grace of God in Christ, able to effect on our behalf?
Romans 5:19-21 " For as by one man's disobedience [Adam's] many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one  [Jesus Christ] shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord."

Note(JB) Sin is the costliest thing in the Universe, for it cost Jesus Christ's very life! For the perfect paid the price for the imperfect humans.

8) To how many is this saving Grace available?
Titus 2:11-12 " For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;"

9) How many the sinner receive this Grace?
Ephesians 2:8-9 " For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
James 2:18-20  "Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?"
NOTE(JB). Contrary to Rome's leadership, works, no matter how noble, will not get us to the Kingdom, if there is no faith in Jesus Christ! Works without faith, is in vain.

10) What is the new basis of our acceptance with God?
Ephesians 1:6  "To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved."

NOTE(JB) Question: "How can we bring Glory to, or Glorify God, with metal piercings, tattoos, illicit drugs, booze and tobacco.... wacky or otherwise, with our minds altered in our thinking? THINK!

11) How did Paul acknowledge the operation of the Grace of God in his own life?
1 Corinthians 15:10 " But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me".

12) Being saved by Grace, what is our relation to the law?
Romans 6:14-16 " For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"

NOTE(JB) Does not this passage tell us that we can not serve both the the religious laws of men and God's Laws at the same time?  Think Sabbath and Sundays worships. Remember were there is no law, there can be no sin! You can't get a ticket for going through a red light when there's not a traffic signal there!

13) Does this mean that we are freed from the responsibilities or the consequences of the breaking God's Laws?
Romans 6:15 " What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid."

14) What does Jesus look for in those whom He has redeemed?
Titus 2:14  "Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."

15) How is this made possible?
Hebrews 13:20-21 " Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,  Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

NOTE(JB) With our surrender to His will, we receive the grace and the strength to over come our sins.

16) What will the continued operation of the Grace of God effect in us?
Acts 20:32  "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
(JB) Here's a promise I claim in my Prayers:  Philippians 1:6 " Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
This is what our surrender to His will works for us! Our very character is changed to be more and more like Jesus!

17) What is the ultimate purpose of the gift of Grace of God?
1 Peter 5:10-11  "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

GRACE IS BY WHOM AND HOW?

    Matthew 6:13  "And <kai> lead <eisphero> us <hemas> not into <eis> temptation <peirasmos>, but <alla> deliver <rhoumai> us <hemas> from <apo> evil <poneros>: For <hoti> thine is <esti> the kingdom <basileia>, and <kai> the power <dunamis>, and <kai> the glory <doxa>, for <eis> ever <aion>. Amen ."

Matthew 6:13  "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen"

THIS IS PART OF THE LORD'S PRAYER. Please make note of the word POWER, from the Greek Dunamis The Strong's Concordance # 1411 from 1410 meaning force. Specially miraculous power, mighty, wonderful work. With this power any man can believe, without it no man can believe in Christ Jesus!
