The Bible Speaks: "WHY JESUS CAME--BY L.W. EMMERSON AND pacific Press Pub. pp.105-107.

My thanks to the two mentioned in the title line. [John B]

1)  Why cannot God, The Father, reveal Himself directly to sinful man?
Exodus 33:20  "And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live."
2 Thessalonians 2:8 " And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"

NOTE(JB) Sin nor sinful man can exist before God, without being changed. [ 1 Corinthians 15:50-66] We must accept and take on Christ's robe of righteousness. Those who refuse at His return will perish, because, ALL who want nothing to do with the very source and sustains all life, will be granted their wish and god will remove his life-sustaining spirit, and they perish!.
It is really all that simple! the only one's who will taste the Lake of Fire, when it shall be,  created, will be all those who rebelled and rejected Christ! Simple is it not?

2) What means did He adopt to make known His will after the entry of sin,[ (JB)  by Satan?]
Hebrews 1:1-2 " God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"

NOTE(JB) The Father does not play games with us, keeping secret that will show us the path to salvation,. It is for this very purpose that the Holy Bible was written and preserved through time! Yet in-spite of Satan's attempts to change, to remove many words and even whole verses, to date 2016, the message for salvation  is not lost in any Bible format.

3) How did men treat the revelation of God through His prophets?
2 Chronicles 36:16 " But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy."
Nehemiah 9:30-31  "Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.  Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God"
.Matthew 23:34  "Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:"
Matthew 24:24-25 " For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before."

NOTE(JB) Sadly today most Christians, are fully deceived, and follow false teachers, by their Sunday worship on the first day of the week rather than on the Seventh day Sabbath. [Gen 2:1-3; Exodus 20:1, 7-11. and John 14:15]

4) Through Whom did He finally speak to men?
Hebrews 1:2 " Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"

5) What id The Father-God primarily seek to reveal in Jesus?
John 1:18  "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."
Matthew 11:27-28  "All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." [Luke 10:22]

6) How perfectly did He make known the character of God?
John 14:9  "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
Colossians 2:9. " Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily".

7. What example of submission to the will of God did Jesus set?
John 8:29  "And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him"
Psalms 40:8  "I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."

8) How did He demonstrate the possibility of a life of victory over sin?
Hebrews 4:15-16 " For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

9) By His sinless life what did He condemn?
Romans 8:1-4  "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

10) Having revealed by His life what man was intended to be, what blessed gift by grace, which is by One Man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many., did Jesus offer through His death on Calvary?
Romans 5:15-17  "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)"

11) What will the acceptance of His gift of grace effect?
1 John 1:7 " But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

Note: Henry Ward Beecher: "When we sin we are not going against a cold unfeeling law; but we are striking, with cruel hand, direct at the living loving heart of God!", Notes from the Plymouth Pulpit p.31.

12) How complete a deliverance from sin did He make?
Matthew 1:21  "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."
John 12:45-48  "And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."

NOTE(JB) Christ shall be our Judge, and advocate, as He was subjected to all sin and overcame the world.. All  judged by the law of the Ten Commandments, for they are The Father's character, and Glory!

13) What glorious prospect has e set before the saved sinners?
2 Peter 1:11 " For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

14) I there any way back to God The Father other than by Jesus?
John 14:1-6 " Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Acts 4:12 " Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

NOTE(JB) To all my Catholics friends and neighbors, does Mary's mane enter into this equation?  NO! There's NOT ONE word in the God's Word about Mary being anywhere but in her grave!

Mark 7:13  "Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye:
.Matthew 15:3 " But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"
Matthew 15:6  "And honor not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition."  {CORBIN the giving of one'sent's house to the temple so son's and daughters need not take care3 of Mom and Dad when they are old.
Colossians 2:8 " Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

NOTE (JB) This church holds that her 2,000 year old "TRADITIONS" have a greater weight than the Holy Bible!

15) How should we respond to such a Savior?
Acts 16:31  "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

Thanking YOU for your time.

The Bible Speaks. "PROPHECIES THAT CAME TRUE"- W. L. EMMERSON & PACIFIC PRESS. pp.98-104.

My many thanks to the two entities named in the title line John B.

1) How did the woman of Samaria testify to the Jewish expectation of the Messiah, or Christ?

John 4:25  "The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things"

NOTE(JB) . Messias is the Greek for Messiah, which in Hebrew is Mashiach [Strong's # 3323].Christ or Christos in the Greek means "The Anointed One", in English The Messiah.

2) What did Jesus tell her concerning Himself?
John 4:26 " Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he."
Matthew 26:63-66  "But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death."

NOTE(JB) As so many today, who are very sure of what they know of the Bible, or what they have been taught all their lives, when shown the Bible truth, they reject it! This is the why 96% of Christendom worships on Sunday, the Venerable day of the sun-god! Thus fully obeying the men from Rome, and rejecting both Jesus and the word!

John 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.  [read Exodus 20: 1-17]  Compare this to your Catechism's Ten Commandments ask why the difference? Think man can really change God's laws, and WHY?  HOW.. when the original tablets of stone are in Heaven within the Ark of the Covenant?  SELAH...THINK!

3) What evidence did Jesus offer in support of His claim?
Luke 24:25-27  "Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself."

4) How was the Messiah to be manifested?
    PROPHECY:

Isaiah 9:6-7  "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this."

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 1:23 " Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

NOTE(JB) Of course, today's people are far to educated to believe in a Virgin Birth, just as they are far too wise to accept the idea of a God who created the Universe from nothing, and Speaking it into existence! OR ARE WE? Do we, the collective humanity, know every thing there is to know? Do most know, for example, that the Bible's first reference to Jesus is in Genesis 3:15?  SELAH.!

PROPHECY:

5) From what Blood line of decent did Iasiah say He would come from?

Isaiah 11:1 " And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:"
Note: Jesse was the father of David, and thus refers to the family line of David.

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 1:1  "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham."

6) Where would the Messiah be born?

PROPHECY:

Micah 5:2 " But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."

NOTE(JB) Beth means house lehem means bread, thus Bethlehem means "House of bread" and Christ is the "Bread of Life". Ephratah means basket thus a basket of bread!  [John 6:48]

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 2:1-6 " Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Judah: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel."

7) In what miraculous way would He be conceived?

PROPHECY:

Isaiah 7:14  "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel."

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 1:20-21 " But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."

8) What danger would threaten His early years?

PROPHECY:

Jeremiah 31:15  "Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel  [RACHAEL] weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not."

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 2:16-18  "Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel   [Rahel] weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not."

9) Where would He be temporarily exiled?

PROPHECY:

Hosea 11:1 "When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt."

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 2:13-15  "And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son."

10) By whom would His ministry be announced?

PROPHECY:

Isaiah 40:3  "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God."

FULFILLMENT:

Luke 3:4  "As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."

11) What would be the nature of the Messiah's blessed ministry?

PROPHECY:

Isaiah 61:1  "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;"

NOTE (jb) Captives? Those whom Satan has deceived and are bound in the prison of sin.

FULFILLMENT:

Luke 4:16-19  "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

12.) Before His death, what symbolic exaltation would He receive?

PROPHECY:

Zechariah 9:9  "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass."

FULFILLMENT:

Luke 19:35  "And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon."

13) For what price would e be sold {out}?

PROPHECY:

Zechariah 11:12  "And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver."

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 26:14-16  "Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him."

14) In what spirit would He endure Hi sufferings?

PROPHECY:

Isaiah 53:7 " He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth."

FULFILLMENT:

Mark 15:3-5 " And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee. But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marveled."

15) How was the Messiah' s vicarious suffering foretold by the prophet?

PROPHECY:

Isaiah 53:4-5 " Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 8:17  "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses"

16) How exactly were the details of the Crucifixion foretold?

PROPHECY:

Psalms 22:16-18  "For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture."  [clothing].

NOTE(JB) Psalm 22 is the single greatest source, about the Cross and His death.

FULFILLMENT:

John 19:23-24 " Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.  They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did."

17) Where would the Messiah rest {Sabbath} in death?

PROPHECY:

Isaiah 53:9  "And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth."

FULFILLMENT:

Matthew 27:57-60 " When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed."

18) In what words was His resurrection foreshadowed?

PROPHECY:

Psalms 16:10-11 " For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

NOTE(JB) Hell here is the Greek word Hades meaning grave, period! There are no hell fires as yet, not until 1,000 years after Christ Second Coming, as per Bible, not men!

FULFILLMENT:

Acts 2:25-27 " For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."

19) In view of His minute fulfillment of the Messianic prophecy how confidently did Paul witness that Jesus was Christ?

Acts 17:2-3  "And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ"

Next: One of THE most important question answered, "WHY CHRIST CAME"

THANKING Y O U  for your time.

Please note we have here ONLY e few of the many prophecies concerning Jesus Christ. Some French Mathematics PhD, who specialized in actuarial tables calculated that if only 8 foretelling came true in one person's life span, the odds would be astronomical, let alone many more prophecies, that came to pass!

The Bible Speaks.."WAS JESUS DIVINE?" W.L. Emmerson- Pacific Press Pub. pp.93-96.

Many thanks to the Author and the Publisher above. John B.

1) What is one of the most important and challenging questions asked in the Bible?
Matthew 22:42 " Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They........"

2) How do the Scriptures help us to settle this vital problem?
John 20:30-31  "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."

NOTE: B.B. Warfield, "The Fundamentals", Vol,1, p. 21. "Our conviction of the deity of Christ rests not alone on the the Scriptural passages which assert it, but also on His entire impression on the world.... Both lines of evidence are valid; and when twisted together form an unbreakable cord.... The impression Jesus has left upon this world bares independent testimony to His deity, and it may well be that to many minds it will seem the most conclusive of all its evidences."

3) What  does the Bible state concerning the nature of Christ?
1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
John 1:1-4  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:14  "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

4) How did Jesus emphasize His Oneness with The Father?
John 10:30  "I and my Father are one."
NOTE(JB) please read John 17, it contains Christ's longest recorded prayer!

5) What other claims are made by or for Jesus which compels us to recognize Him as God incarnate?      A)   Matthew 28:17-18  "And when they saw him, they worshiped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."
   B) All wisdom:  Colossians 2:2-3  "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
  C)  Eternal Existence: Colossians 1:16-17 " For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."
   D) Perfect Holiness:  1 John 3:5 " And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin."
    E) The sum of divine attributes: Colossians 2:9-10  "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:"

NOTE(JB) In Jesus only are we complete and able to face The Father, without being utterly destroyed because of His righteousness covers us and our sins!

6) Because, He revealed in their entirety the attributes of the Invisible God, how could He be well describes?  [but in the physical being of Jesus Christ?]

Colossians 1:14-16  "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"

7) While He was truly God how truly was He also man?
Galatians 4:4  "But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,"  Read again John 1:1-3 and 14.

8) When was the plan made for the son of god to come to earth in human form?
1 Peter 1:19-20 " But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,"

9)
To whom was given the intimation of this plan?
The serpent in Eden:  Genesis 3:15 " And I [God]will put enmity between thee [Satan} and the woman, [Mary the mother of Jesus]  and between thy [Satan's helpers] seed and her seed;[Jesus] it shall bruise thy head,{ crush Satan's head] and thou shalt bruise his  [ Jesus '] heel."

10) How did the news of Christ come to Mary that God was to come to earth in human flesh form?
Luke 1:31-35  "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God."

NOTE(JB) The why and the when we are told in the word, the HOW? Well that humans may never learn! Just as HE was able to Created all the heavens from nothing!  This was ONLY possible via the Virgin Birth and the Holy Spirit!  Read Mark A. Matthews "Gospel Sword Thrusts" p. 57
For in this Christ became our KINSMAN REDEEMER!  {Read the story of Ruth and Boaz]

11)  By what act did the wise Men from the East recognize the divinity of Jesus?
Matthew 2:11 " And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshiped him: ...... "

12)  How did God testify to Jesus' divinity at the beginning of His ministry?
Matthew 3:17  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. [Mat. 17:5; MR. 1:11; lk. 3:22-9:35- 20:17; 2 Peter 1:17]

13) How was Jesus' divinity manifest in His life?
       A.  By His miracles    Luke 5:17  "And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them."

       B. By His authoritative teachings.   John 7:45-47  "Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?"
NOTE(JB) Satan  and company are the deceivers not Jesus.

14) What divine prerogative did Jesus exercise?
Matthew 9:6 " But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house."

15) What paramount gift did He claim ability to confer?
John 5:21-22 " For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:"

NOTE(JB) Jesus was tempted far more than any of us, yet He sinned not, thus He knows our ways and can sympathize with our lot, as our judge.

16) What testimony did the disciples bear to Christ's divinity?.
John 20:28-29  "And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."  [Matthew 16:16]

17) Who else recognized His true nature?
Luke 4:40-41 " Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ."

18) To who did Jesus say He was returning?
John 16:28  "I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."

19) What position does He now occupy in heaven?
1 Peter 3:22  "Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him."

20) When will Christ's divinity be manifest to all?
Matthew 19:28  "And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."     [ read 1 Corinthians 15:50-55] the Resurrection at His Second Coming, for His saints only!

21) What confession will all men make?
Philippians 2:9-11  "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

NOTE(JB) In the very end, even Satan shall bow and admit that God's way is best!

22) HOW IMPORTANT IS OUR acceptance of the Son of God coming in human flesh?

1 John 4:2-3 "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.:

NOTE(JB) All who fully reject the idea that Jesus in both God and man in the flesh is deceived by Satan!

The Bible Speaks. "DO WE NEED TO BE SAVED"? - W.L. Emmerson--Pacific Press Pub. pp. 86-90

My many thanks to the above named person and Publishers.  John B.

The following statement is one of great importance, yet most know it not... to their own personal loss!

1) What was man's exalted position when he was created?
Genesis 1:27  "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

NOTE(JB): We humans were not "Hatched", nor evolved for millions of years, this is Satan trying to prove by Human Scientists, that God id not needed, that given enough time dead stuff, would created life!I say, "The reason we still have apes in trees, is that they had no wish to be mistaken for PhD's!

2) How was man's loyalty to God tested?
Genesis 2:16-17  "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

NOTE(JB) There was no time frame mentioned for their death, agree? Adam died at 930 years of age.
Genesis 5:5 " And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died."

3) How did Satan turn our first Parents from allegiance to God?
2 Corinthians 11:3  "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."  [Read Genesis3:1-6]

4) As the result of the fall {into sin] what change came in the relationship between men and God?

A) They became sinners in His sight!
Romans 5:12 " Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

Robert Blatchford's "God and My Neighbor" p. 159.  "No Adam, no fal: no fall, no atonement needed, no need for atonement, no Savior. Accepting evolution, how can we then believe in the fall? When did man fall: was it before he ceased to be an ape, or after? Was it when he was a tree-man, or later? Was it in the Stone Age, or the Bronze Age, or in the age of iron?.... And if there was no fall why should we need atonement, a Savior,?  (NOTE- JB):" If evolution is fact then why did Jesus need to died for our sins?"  History, the human record, has admitted that Jesus Christ as the Messiah did indeed live and die, that's more than the zero proof for evolution!

B) They lost the open communion with God.
Genesis 3:23-24  "Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, [ a high order of angels] and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."

C) They were doomed to die.
Genesis 3:19  "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."

5) What burden fell upon the whole human family as the result of man's sin?
Psalms 51:5  Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

NOTE(JB) we from birth inherit the tendencies to sin. Some more than others! Unless and until we each, understand and recognize that we are lost to sin, can we come to God of our own free-will!

6) How sadly {and badly] has man been marred  by sin?
     A. His understanding has been darkened.
Ephesians 4:18-19 " Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:  Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness."

VS.20: "Ye have not so learned Christ"   {Christ never taught us this]

      B. His heart is full of evil...
Jeremiah 17:9  "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

NOTE(JB) if YOU dear reader doubt this statement, how long have you been a hermit?

    C. His conscience is defiled.
Titus 1:15-16 " Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. "

     D. He is spiritually dead.
Colossians 2:13-14  "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"

NOTE(JB) I their Biblical ignorance, they read this 14 th verse, without knowing there are TWO SETS of Laws, God's Ten Commandments that stand forever, and the Ceremonial laws written by Moses that Christ's life and death removed from mankind! Proving a "Little Knowledge is a danger"!

Plus, each person is whole, thus what effects the mind also carries over to the body!

7) How completely is man alienated from God?
Romans 8:6-7 " For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be"

NOTE(JB) have you begun to notice that for every negative, God has a positive door we can enter?

8) Are any excluded from condemnation?.
Galatians 3:11  "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith."
.Romans 3:22-24  "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:"

9) How impotent is the sinner to work righteousness?
Jeremiah 13:23  "Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil."

Note: C.G. McCown, "The Promise of His coming". p.6    "The heart of man is fundamentally wrong, and stands in need of a complete transformation."

10). How hopeless is man;s condition apart from God?
Ephesians 2:12-13  "That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."

11) To what end must, therefore, unaided man inevitably come to?
Romans 8:6 " For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
Matthew 23:33  "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?"

NOTE: William Temple, "The Hope of a New World," Religion in Life Vol 10. #3, p.325.
"To a great many people the traditional language of Christians has become meaningless. It does not fit in their way of looking at life. They scarcely know what we mean by the word 'sin', supposing it to consist in consciously doing what is known or believed to be wrong. But this is one one part of the whole great fact of sin--- the visible part, so to speak. It is the symptom, not the disease; the inflammation, not the poison. All is sin that is short of God's will for it, and the essence of man's sin is his self-centeredness. But this is forgotten, and because people have so scanty an understanding of sin they attach no meaning what ever to redemption."
NOTE(JB) Please read again Mr Temple's observation, above!

12) What cry of despair may well come from the lips of the man who realizes his lost condition?
Romans 7:24  "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?"

13) Because it is impossible for man to save himself, what is our ONLY hope?
1 Chronicles 22:19  "Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God;...."
" Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive."
Revelation 3:20 " Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

NOTE(JB) Pastor Rick Warren's "Purpose Driven Church" said this "I'll not teach about sin, nor will I allow the book of Revelation to be taught in my church"! I ask "How does he handle this verse......

Revelation 1:3 " Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."

Ca n YOU dear reader begin to understand the why of earth's 43,000 "Christian" (?) denominations? Denomination's root word meaning is denominator the number left over from DIVISION, now who but Satan is always dividing men from God? Please THINK! and read....
Matthew 24:4 "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you."
He spoke this three times in this very chapter and referred to it again twice about deceptions.

14: Through whom shall salvation come?
John 3:15-17 "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

Deuteronomy 30:19-20  "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them."

NOTE(JB) There shall not be one single soul cast into to the Lake of fire io Revelation 19, UNLESS that ONE choose death over life eternal with Christ! The Father loves each of so much that if you want nothing to do with Him, He'll grant you your request! But know this for God is the very source of all life thus without Him death eternal, is all there is!

15)  How universal is God's offer of mercy?
Romans 11:32  "For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

16) How comprehensive is the plan of Salvation?
Hebrews 7:25-28  "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.  For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore."

17) Is there any other way of escape?
Acts 4:10-12  "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

18) What should be the sinner's response?
Psalms 51:2-3  "Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me."

19) How is redemption compared with god's Creative work?
2 Corinthians 5:17  "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

20) In what scripture does God declare Himself to be both Creator and Redeemer?\
Isaiah 43:1 " But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine."

Note(JB) All in Christ are of the seed of Abraham, thus Spiritual Israel!

The Bible Speaks- " Whence Came Evil"? W.L. Emmerson & Pacific Press Pub. pp.82-86.

Many thanks to the Two named in the title. John B  {WE WILL EXAMINE WHAT THE BIBLE HAS TO SAY , "THE WORD OF GOD," ABOUT HOW EVIL BEGAN! God's Words not those of men!}

1) Had evil any part in God's original Creation?
Genesis 1:31 " And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."

2) With whom, then, did sin originate?
1 John 3:8 " He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."

3) Who is the Devil?
Revelation 12:9  "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him"

NOTE(JB) Many operate under the idea that Satan, The devil, the Dragon, is but a mythical figure, sadly he is all too real, and it is he and by his own powers, that much of the disasters of earth, and the death and destruction that follow are due to Satan 's efforts, and we should be thankful that God has placed limits on his powers, or humanity would have become extinct, save those who worship him as the Luciferians of today!

4) What was the original name, and from what high estate has he fallen?
Isaiah 14:12 " How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"
NOTE(JB) "..nations" many times a symbol for God's created beings, either angels of people.

5) What was Lucifer's original character?  { we can not yet know when God created angels, however when One's being is love, then when did God created angels He could share love with? 1 John 4:8]
Ezekiel 28:15  "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."

NOTE(JB) God's explanation for Lucifer becoming Satan {Hebrew for apposes]is found in Isaiah 14:12=15, an easy way to remember Satan's fate is to take 12+12= 28th chapter of Ezekiel.

6) What sinful thought arose in Lucifer's mind?
Ezekiel 28:17 "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee"

NOTE(JB) Do we not all know a person, that's just far too full of self., to enjoy being with them?

7) Who joined with Satan in his opposition to God?
Jude 1:6  "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."
NOTE (JB) There's not today, nor has there yet ever been, a burning hell-fire, not until the Great White Throne of Judgement will Revelation's Lake of Fire be created, right here on this earth to remove both death and sin for ever!{Revelation 19:20-20:10,14,15.] All the wicked will not ever leave this earth, including Satan and his! They will be resurrected with, ALL, the same conditions they suffered with at their death! They will see {How we can not know} all the times God called out to them, and they rejected His loving call to eternal life They cast into the Lake of fire to be reduced to ashes almost instantly! Brimstone-sulfur, burns at 2200 degrees F. so long can a human last?

Malachi 4:1-6 " For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

NOTE(JB) What does this do to all who proclaim: "I'm a New Testament Christian"? Sorry a true "Christ-Man", accepts the Bible the way it was in Jesus' hands! The Old Book, is the foundation and the framing for the Church, the New Testament finishes the building!

8) What was the result of Lucifer's rebellion?
Revelation 12:7-9  "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

9) Where was Satan exiled?
Revelation 12:12  "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time"
Luke 10:18 " And he [Jesus] said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."

10) By what means did he Satan, deceive our first parents?
.2 Corinthians 11:3 " But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."

Genesis 3:1-6 " Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

NOTE(JB) Most of today's Christendom accepts this lie from Satan as God's truth! As in "man's soul is immortal, but Until Jesus returns of God has immortality! [1 Timothy 1:17] Only another "Tradition of man" Die and go to one's reward! read Genesis 3:19!
Ecclesiastes 12:7  "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."  Genesis 2:7  "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
God's "BREATH OF LIFE" ALSO CALLED SPIRIT, AND OR SOUL returns to HE who created YOU, at one's death! These facts are not mine nor of any man, but are from God's Own Word!

11) How has Satan since been occupied in the earth?
1 Peter 5:8 " Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

QUESTION: Who on this earth, is constantly very busy, trying to attain his goal? Never at rest, never sleeping, always at work and working very effectively and efficiently ? SATAN!

12) Who volunteered to defeat Satan's designs?
1 John 3:8  "He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."
Hebrews 2:14  "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;"

Revelation 9:11 " And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."
NOTE(JB):  both the Hebrew and the Greek names mean, "The Destroyer", as Satan can only destroy not ever create but chaos.

13) When man sinned, what promise was given him concerning the overthrow of Satan?
Genesis 3:15  "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy [Satan's] seed and her seed;[Jesus Christ] it [Satan's deceived ones]shall bruise [ crush] thy head, and thou shalt bruise his [Christ's]  heel.
Romans 6:20-21  "For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.  What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death."

Please, read Romans 6:23.

14) How was Christ's power over Satan and his evil angels shown during His earthly ministry?
Matthew 8:16  "When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:"

15) In the hour of His death what reference did Jesus make to the transience  [temporary] of Satan's power?
Luke 22:53  "When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness."

16). How had Jesus previously foretold the end of Satan's dominion?
John 12:31  "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out."

NOTE(JB): Sadly many think that Satan is not real, does not exist, but Jesus knew better, and so should we!

17) After Jesus ascended to Heaven, whom did He commission to continue the controversy with Satan?
Acts 26:16-18  "But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
Acts 1:8-9 " But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight."

18) What struggle is the lot of the children of God?
Ephesians 6:12 " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

19) How may we obtain full protection against Satan?
Ephesians 6:10-11"  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

20) What assurance of triumph is given every child of God?
1 John 5:18-19  We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

21) What seeming triumph will Satan achieve in the last days and why?
1 Timothy 4:1-2  "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;"

2 Timothy 3:1-7 " This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

NOTE(JB) Do we not see all these wrongs in society these days, and really prominent since the 1960's?  Please THINK! & know time is short!

22) To what end will Satan, and all of his, ultimately come?
Revelation 20:10  "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

NOTE(JB) Sorry, but there's only TWO sides, the side of God, and the side of Satan. If you have not already claimed Jesus, as your Savior, guess to whom YOU belong? There can be no neutral, we each must chose, if one refuses to chose, they are already Satan's by default!  The whole question is whom do we worship God or the laws of men? Any law of men that clashes with God's word is from Satan, the one who opposes!

23) To what end, was Paul led to write, about the evil angels?
2 Corinthians 11:14-15  "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

NOTE(JB) Never think that all those who reject Christ and His ways, never think about their end in horror, either day or night, until their death.

24) What assurance are we given that the tragic story of the rebellion will never again be repeated?
Nahum 1:9 " What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time."

THE BIBLE SPEAKS. "What is Man?" x W.L. Emmerson. Pacific Press, Pub. pp. 79-81.

My man thanks to the two named in the Title line. John B.

WHAT IS MAN?

    1)  What does God claim with reference to man's origin?
"I have created him,..... I have formed him; Yea, I have made  him."  Isaiah 43:7
Genesis 2:7 " And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

NOTE(JB) Please notice that man became a living soul, thus a souls is not a separate item but part of the whole being. Not something that exists beyond death,  God's BREATH OF LIFE?

Ecclesiastes 12:7  "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. "

DUST?

Genesis 3:19  "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

 2) What physical characteristics has he [man] in common with other living creatures?
See Genesis 2:7 above and... Acts 17:25 " Neither is worshiped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;:
Ecclesiastes 3:19 " For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; ......"\

NOTE(JB): "...Yea, they all have one breath...." This is God's "Breath of Life" interchangeable with with the word "SPIRIT" !which is interchangeable with the word, "SOUL." It for the reason of human desire to be different, to set our own path, to make our own interpretations of God's Word which is why there's 43,000 so called "Christian" denominations on earth! All from ONE WORD, ONE CROSS and ONE SAVIOR! The reason why for this verse.....

Matthew 24:4-5  "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."

3) How does man differ from the lower orders of creation?
    A) God communicated to man a nature akin His own. Genesis 9:6 "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."
    B) God intended man to know and understand His messages of truth.
Matthew 4:4 " But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

4) With what faculties are we humans able to apprehend God and His will?
Isaiah 26:9  "With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness"

5) Of what three parts is man composed?.
"I pray God your whole Spirit and Soul [mind] and Body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

6) Having given men the capacity for communion with God, what invitation does the Creator extend to them?
Amos 5:8 " Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:"

7) If we avail ourselves of the privilege of communion with God, what are we promised?
Hebrews 11:6 " But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

NOTE(JB) Hebrews 11 is the FAITH CHAPTER.

8) How does God desire us to regard Him?
Malachi 2:10 " Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?"

Note(JB): As God The Father is The Creator, through Jesus Christ, then all men are by nature His children. As all are His children, that makes us all brothers and sisters, in Christ Jesus, who is in fact our OLDER BROTHER and Savior!

9) What harmonious relation should likewise obtain between man and man?
Mark 12:30-31 "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."
John 13:34-35  "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

NOTE(JB)  Sadly many fall far short of this standard, then, and now!  WHY?
Matthew 7:13 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:"
WHY IS THIS? Many are to self-centered and live their lives only for self, the old "I did it MY way"! syndrome. None can save self!

J.L. Liebman, "Peace of Mind p.194   "Constantly, without our knowing it, we are sources of infection for good and evil. We are the carriers of health and disease, either the divine health of courage and nobility or the demonic diseases of hate and anxiety. No one can be immunized against us; as long as we live we make the world freer or more enslaved, nobler or more degraded."

NOTE(JB): Those who are born during the 1940's know this all too well, our national morality has gone down the toilet! Today its anything goes, there are few taboos left in society at large today, we need only to look at our Presidential election of 2016, to know there's not bottom to the filth and sleaze and lies!

10) What authority did God give man on this earth?
Psalms 8:6  "Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet"

11) Though God has made man a steward on the earth how does the Creator declare His ownership?
Job 41:11  "Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine."

12) What does God require of a steward?
1 Corinthians 4:2  " Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."

13) Will God call man to account for his stewardship?
1 Corinthians 3:8 " Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.."

14) What will the unfaithful steward forfeit?
Ezekiel 33:9 " Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul."

15) Will God take pleasure in withdrawing life forever from the sinner?
Ezekiel 33:11  "Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?"
2 Peter 3:9  "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

16) What gracious offer, therefore, is made to those who repent and seek to fulfill the divine intention?
Ezekiel 18:30  "Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin."

NOTE(JB) BEFORE someone runs of half-cocked, please look at this term "House of Israel".....
Galatians 3:29  "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.."

Therefore IF you belong to Christ in loving obedience, YOU are also a "Child of the Promise", and thus a SEED of Abraham, through Christ! This makes one a "Spiritual Israelite" !

"The Bible Speaks." IS GOD IN CONTROL? W.L. Emmerson-- Pacific Press Pub. pp.65-69.

Yet, again my many thanks to the above for their works  John B.

NOTE(JB) As I wrote in the intro on the previous post, "If God The Father did not put specific limits upon Satan. he'd already made sure that humanity would be extinct!  What we can NOT know, if the huge natural disasters, that take much life and property are allowed by the Father, if only to get our attention, must be dismissed as human speculation, What IS NOT such speculations are all those Mary sittings, and all those "Bleeding" carvings, and all the wounds {which are real} yet caused by Satan working on the Stigmatics to deceive the Biblical illiterate!

1)  Had God a definite purpose in creating the earth?
Isaiah 45:18 " For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else."

NOTE(JB)  "..He created it not in vain   The Hebrew word translated "IN VAIN" is  Strong's # 8414
TOHUM [to'-hoo]  meaning: to lie in waste, a surface desolation
Where else is this word used?
Genesis 1:2 " And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

The word" form", is from the translated word  TOHUM plus another word used here is "..VOID..." that comes from the Hebrew word BOHOO meaning empty or distinguishable ruin!
Now can we safely understand that earth, itself was created a long time before Our Creator began to rework this earth to sustain life?   NO!
Not if you know anything about the "Halo's" in Granite rock, for they prove that with their short "Life-span", in granite rock, the foundation stone of earth, had to be cooled and solidified almost instantly to preserve these Halos within the granite rock!  GOOGLE "Granite Rock Halos or Robert V. Gentry and "Polonium Halos".

QUESTION: Evolutionists hold to their "Survival of the Fittest" right? So how does that produce the human need to love and be loved? Not to mention the creation of the human conscience! In my study of evolution, when one removes all fur, and get to the bare skin so to speak here's what it says-- DEAD stuff created life, but it needed billions of years to do it!"  REALLY?

2) How completely are the plans of God laid for the out-working of His purpose?
Acts 15:18 " Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world."

3) How perfect are the counsels of the LORD?
Psalms 147:4-5 " He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite."
Job 12:13 " With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding."
Note (JB):  Science says "Stars are being 'Born' today with the Steller clouds, right? But God said--- "Genesis 2:1  Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them."  So should we belive man or God? Can man or men save themselves for eternal life? NO, that only God is able to do!

NOTE(JB)  In the O.T. K.J.V .when we read LORD in upper case letters its the transliteration of YHVH or the Hebrew Ye'HOVAH which is the Hebrew transliteration of "I AM THAT I AM [or wish to be} From which we have the GREAT I AM!  To which Pat Robinson claims I AM TOO! {If Pat claims to be a god let him walk on water or raise the dead!]

4) Who was entrusted with the divine purpose for this earth?
2 Timothy 1:9 " Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,"

NOTE: Psalms 19:1" The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handy-work."  To which anyone looking through a telescope, or even human eyes only on a clear, dark night must surely say "AMEN!"

5). How has God emphasized that His counsels are unchangeable?
Hebrews 6:17  "Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:"
      Malachi 3:6 " For I am the LORD, I change not; -----"
Hebrews 13:8  "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."

6) Though men may plan wisely, what often frustrates their desires?
Romans 7:18 " For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not."

NOTE(JB) I have found myself in this spot, have you? Repent and seek His forgiveness!

7) By what attribute, however, is God's wisdom reinforced?
Psalms 62:11-12  "God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.  Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work."     Joel 2:11 "And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?"

8). Is there any room for doubt, then as to god's ability to bring His counsels to fruition?
Ephesians 1:11  "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:"
Isaiah 46:9-11 " Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it."

NOTE (JB) God is Omnipotent, meaning nothing He can not do.. Luke 18:27 " And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."

9) By what name does God declare His omnipotence?
Genesis 17:1 " And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."
NOTE (JB) here read that Abram {latter called Abraham the father of many nations]was ninety years old, and Sarah his wife barren and childless was going to become a Mother! Science says impossible, right, as with so many other bible facts!

10) How was God's omnipotence demonstrated in Creation?
Psalms 33:9 " For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast."
Jeremiah 32:17  "Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:"
Job 26:7  "He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing."

NOTE (JB) I asked YOU, Dear reader, to read the Book of Job, previously, for its scientific announcements well look also the Jeremiah But take note of three words in the above verse, Stretcheth, North and nothing..
It was Hubble, after whom, the Space telescope is named, showed, in late 1920' and early 1930's that the Universe is expanding, or being "STRETCHED".  Yet it was not until men took a picture from space during the moon landings, the we knew about about the "NORTH EMPTY PLACE and when did man finally accept that earth just "HANGS" in space upon nothing? Yet it was written Centuries before Christ's birth, so who told these two men??? Only God is able. right:?

11) How is His Power continually manifest in nature?
Genesis 8:22  "While the earth remaineth, seed-time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
Hebrews 1:3  "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"

NOTE (JB) Who else but Jesus Christ died to pay for all sin, for all time? So, what does the above verse do to those who say "Jesus a good man, but only a man?" "...BY the Word of His Power......."?

12) What does the ever-recurring cycle of day and night teach concerning God's character?
Jeremiah 33:20-21  "Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers."
NOTE: (JB) fear not, all his Covenants [contracts} are fully intact!

13) What authority does God of Heaven exercise in the kingdom of men?
Deuteronomy 32:8  "When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel."
Daniel 4:17  "This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men."
Colossians 1:17  "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."

NOTE(JB) Th " he" here is Jesus Christ, and the word consist in the Hebrew is Susistao [soon-is-tah'-o] meaning from strong's # 4921 to set together, to constitute, would be of little value unless connected to human science's statement, "We know not what holds the Atom together!"  Yet scientists and Bible are for the most part strangers!

Note (JBH) If we need proof of this please read Daniel's chapters,1-7 and learn that sas this prophecy is expanded like layers of an onion from the inside out, know also that Daniel wrote this while in Babylon as a captive, some 450 years before the birth of Christ, yet his total fore-tellings will take us all the to to the return of Christ! But my point in this request is that he set forth the kingdoms of mankind, that human history also recorded in the exact same order! Babylon, Medo-Persian, Greece, and the Roman Empire as the great and Terrible beast, the only power not directly I,D!
This is one of the best way to prove the Bible is filled with truth!

Note: "In the annals of human history the growth of nation, the rise and fall of empires, appear as dependent on the will and prowess of man. The shaping of events seems, so a great degree, to be determined by his power, ambition, or caprice [lust for money-power]. But in the word of God the curtain is drawn aside, and we behold, behind, above, and through all the play and counter play of human interests and power and passions, the agencies of the all-merciful One, silently patiently working out the counsels of His own will"   E.G. White Education, p.173.

One prophecy time frame time- times, and half time using one day for a year principle {Ezekiel 4:6-- Numbers 14:34 and Genesis 29:27-28 all one day +one year of prophetic time] The Roman church gained full powers, Government and church in 538 A.D. and lost it in 1798, thus 1260 days/years or 42 months! Daniel also foretold the day is Christ's baptism and begin ing ministry and His death 3.5 years latter! {Daniel 7-9]  No man can predict with 100% accuracy, but God knows the Future as well as the Past!.

14) How does God make even the acts of wicked men work out His will?
Psalms 76:10  "Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain."

John A. MacKay: "Crucial Alternatives." Theology Today vol.4 No 1, p 10. "God is still God. The Lord God omnipotent reigneth: He controls the contingencies of history. What happens tomorrow., the future of civilization, the fate of life upon this planet will ultimately be determined not by scientific wisdom, nor by political folly, but by God!"

THE HISTORIANS' HISTORY of the WORLD." VOL 12 PP. 631.632.
"Was it possible that Napoleon should gain this battle {Waterloo]? We answer NO!. WHY? Because of Wellington? Because of Blucher? NO!
Because of God! Bonaparte a victor a t Waterloo-- that was no longer according to the law of the 19th Century. Another series of events was preparing, wherein Napoleon had no further place. The too great heaviness pf this man in human destiny troubled the balance. The moment was to come for the incorruptible Supreme equity to take the regular gravity of the moral, as of the material order, complained. The blood that smokes, the overplus of the graveyards, , the mothers in tears, these are redoubtable pleaders. When the earth suffers a surcharge, there rise mysterious groaning in the dark, which eve n the very abysm understands. Napoleon had been denounced in the infinite and his downfall was resolved. He bothered God. Waterloo is not a battle; it is the universe changing front."

NOTE(JB) It has been reported that in one of final letters he wrote "God you are too much for me"
Referring to this verse:     Daniel 2:43  "And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay"
Even-though European Royalty has been so intermarried, over the years, they will not mix as one, just as iron and clay will not mix, and Napoleon knew his Bible's meanings to bad he ignored it message!.Even today's E.U. they are not ONE!

15) Can anything prevent the fulfillment of God's will in the lives of those who yield themselves to Him?
Romans 8:37-39 " Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
John 10:29-30 " My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one."

16) Though, in His all-seeing purpose, He  may permit evil for a time to hold sway, how completer will be His final triumph?
Romans 9:28 " For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth."
Romans 9:31-33  "But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."

NOTE(JB) Christ is The Stumbling block if He's not accepted as our personal Savior! Thus as a Nation Israel will not receive Salvation, but each JEW, can so be saved by his por her full acceptance of Christ as their savior! Christ the ROCK will either heal us or crush us, depending upon OUR WILL to either accept or reject Him, Period!

NEXT:"WHAT IS MAN?"   Isaiah 43:7 " Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him."
