L.#11. $ 1 MILLION FOR THE MISSING TEXT.

COULD YOU USE A MILLION BUCKS?
All YOU need to do is to find within the Holy Bible of common use, a verse, a phrase telling mankind that God changed His Holy Day from the 7th day to the first day of the week Contact www.desiremedia.org, and tell them what and where you found this, in God's Word, and they will get their sponsors to give you your money!
    WHY, do this?

Many people actually believe it's in the Bible; a scripture that tells us why most Christians keep Sunday as God' s Special  Day of rest. While, without actually seeing the text for themselves! They are still confident that it's in there, somewhere, because it's being so taught as Bible doctrine by most Christian Churches, today and for centuries past.
In point of fact, there are numerous statements people believe are from the Bible, but are not! For example, "God helps those, who help themselves." Many believe they can find this well known saying in the Bible, but none can. It's from the Poor Richard's Almanac by Benjamin Franklin.
Here's another, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." Until, they actually try to find it for themselves, people are just as sure it IS in the Word of God. . . .somewhere!

In this lesson, we're going to take on the challenge. We are going to search our Bibles, just for one text that tells us that Sunday, the First day of the week IS God's special day for all mankind to observe. If we can find it it would be worth a great deal of money, from rewards of $100.00 all the way up to $ 1 million, and nobody has yet to collect one thin cent, as of today 10/2013.

So what we'll do in this lesson 11th, is too look at every text in the Bible that mentions Sunday the First Day of the week, as God's Special day the New Sabbath Day, or ANYTHING that tells us to meet or to observe it or that God changed His Holy Day to it.
Fair enough? As there are only 9 (nine) total verses, that mention the First day of the week, Sunday!

1. IF. . .if God changed the Sabbath day, wouldn't it be in His Word?
Amos 3:7. "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."
Note: How many of YOU, think that IF God changed something so important as His Ten Commandments,, He would surely tell us about it, because, He tells us in His Word, that He does nothing unless He reveals it to His people. So IF. . . i f  a change did occur we should be able to find it in the Word of God, agree?

2. Where is the first text, speaking to the First day? Is Sunday, as a day ever written of?
Genesis 1:5. "And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day."
Note: God set the days as beginning at sunset to sunset, but Rome changed it to midnight to midnight as we have it today, right?
Note 2: The old Mithra religion from Nimrod's days [ Genesis 10:8-9; 1 Chronicles 1:10; Micah 5:6} and the Tower of Babel, to Babylon' s Empire, and then the Persians named the days of the week after the planets. Zoroaster popularized Mithra in Persia, about 630 B.C. Since Mithra was pictured as a god of great courage, [ a marble statue of him killing a bull exists today] the Roman soldiers became worshipers of it. They also took their names of the days, but latter, the Teutonic-German tribes of Europe changed then to their gods.
Sun-god-  =  Sunday                           Woden -a Viking god = Wednesday
Moon- goddess = Monday                   Thor  -Viking god of war = Thursday
Frigg   German god? = Friday             Seturn- Saturday  [Saturn the planet AKA as Satan's world.]
Tiu -god = Tuesday
HOWEVER:  The Bible has named only three days of the week
(1) Preparation Day..  to do all meal preps and clean the house and yard for the Day of Rest-Sabbath.
(2), The seventh day The Sabbath Day, after the 6th day Friday sunset to sunset, remember?
(3) The First Day, of the week, being named after the Sun god! This day was chosen by Satan, as HIS counterfeit Sabbath Day, so when we get right down to it, who is worshiped on Sunday? NOT GOD!

There is but ONE TEXT IN THE BEGINNING OF THE OLD TESTAMENT THAT MENTIONS THE 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK......
Genesis 2:1-3. "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."

NOTICE:  At this point of time, {Gen.2:1-3] there was only two people on earth, Adam and Eve [Gen 1:26-27} , 2,000 years before the Bible speaks about Jews! The Sabbath was made for man...
Mark 2:27-28. "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath."  [Son of Man = Jesus Christ.]
The Sabbath was established BEFORE sin entered in to the world. Therefore it was a perfect institution and not just something that God made as a remedy for sinful Jews!  SELAH = Think!

3. OK, where is the 2nd text that mentions the first day/Sunday?
Matthew 28:1 "In the end of the Sabbath  as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher."
Note: What day had just ended?  Plus to which day's dawn was near?      {(j.B.) please take notice of this fact, in most cases Bible speaks to the FIRST DAY of the week, it is followed by the the Word Sabbath, for GOD knew men would THINK to change it {Daniel 7:25} ]

4 SO, where is the 3RD and 4th mentions of the First day of the week-Sun- day?
Mark 16:2."And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulcher at the rising of the sun."
Mark 16:9. "  Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils."
Note: These texts in Mark speaks to the same thing that Matthew wrote. They came to the Sepulcher on SUNDAY morning, but Jesus has already RISEN earlier that Sunday morning. Now they came there to do what?
They did NOT have time Friday, the preparation day, to bet the spices, ointments and burial cloth, because the Sabbath's sunset was near, and they HAD to be home! Thus they were there Sunday to finish His burial, right? A Task they would not, nor could not do on the Sabbath, right? Thus they went early Sunday morning the first day of the week, yes or no?
So IF. . . i f  this was to be the NEW SABBATH, this would have been the perfect place so speak to us about it, agree?  WAS IT?

5. Where is the 5th mention of "Sunday" in the Bible?
Luke 23:54-56."And that day was the preparation, and the Sabbath drew on. And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulcher  and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment.   Luke 24:1-2  Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher  bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. "
Note: These verses are clear, right? They tell us that Jesus died on the Cross that Friday, the Preparation Day, and then "RESTED" on the Sabbath in the tomb, and rose up early on the FIRST DAY, Sun-day, when the woman tried to finalize His burial!

6. Now where is the 6th mention?
John 20:1  "The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcher."
Note: This tells us simply that Mary Magdalene the tomb early Sunday morning and found it empty! In VS. 16 Jesus revealed Himself to her, letting her know that He had risen. Nothing in this text suggests that Sunday, the first day of the week is now the new Sabbath now is there?

7. Where is the 7th mention?
John 20:19 "Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you."
Note: Many many people, even the ones behind the Pulpits, use this verse to show, "They had Church here!" Thus this shows the Bible's agreements with Sunday worship services. BUT DOES IT?  Jesus did indeed rise on  the First day of the week, but as His custom was... Luke 4:16 "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read."
Were they gathered to celebrate Christ' s resurrection? N O! They were in hiding from the Jews and their Priests, they feared they were to be next on the Crosses!

WHAT INSTITUTION DID GOD ESTABLISH IN HONOR OF JESUS' RESURRECTION?
Romans 6:4 "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
note: It is OK, for YOU to ask, why,  "WHY did the Church of Rome change the worship days to Sundays from the Sabbath? PLUS why do they no longer baptize by submersion but by the SPRINKLING a few drops of water on the heads, of even new born babe's who have not a clue? When all must know the full meaning of a Baptism, before they hit the water, which is an action in honor of His life, death and Resurrection! So that we also can walk in the newness of life, the sinful old us, having "died" in the watery grave!

8. Then what about the 8th mention?
Acts 20:7 "And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight"
NOTE: YES, there was a meeting, and YES Paul did indeed preach, and they broke bread.
Please take notice of the time of day, and remember when a day began and ends Biblically! The day begins at sunset and ends at sunset the next day, so this was already Sunday morning when they gathered! [ Leviticus 23:32-Mark 1:32 even to even (evening) . In our language we'd call this meeting began Saturday evening and Paul was still going to day=break Sunday morning.

The Good News Translation: "On Saturday evening we gathered for the fellowship meal"
The New English Bible: "On the Saturday night in our assembly"

The Bible, KJB, goes on to tell about Paul's custom to meet on the Sabbath Day [Acts 17:2] They then came together that evening for a farewell meal. Paul was going to leave the next day so he spoke until midnight. That's when a boy named Eutychus fell asleep and fell from the 3rd floor to his death. Paul prayed for Eutychus and God raised him from the dead., to life. Paul then continued on to daybreak Sunday and then said his good byes. Now is in fact the First day Sunday was T H E Sabbath, why on earth would the devout Paul begin a 20 mile walk on the Day of rest?
I hope that you see nothing here, in your Bible, to make you think that the Sabbath are now on Sundays!
BUT. . .but, do not the words "Breaking Bread" mean this was a Communion Service?
    Luke 22:19 "And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me." {This was a Thursday evening !}
Acts 2:46 " And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,"
Note: Obviously they did not hold communion nor held any service, going house to house agree?

9. So, where is the last text found in the Bible speaking to Sunday?
1 Corinthians 16:2 "Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come."
Note; Many try to show this to be an "Offering collection" during worship on Sunday, but is it?
If you read the text, { not by what YOU believe or that which you may have been taught] but read what is there. You'll find that Paul was writing to the Corinthian Church members asking them to set aside a little money at the beginning of the week, so that he could take it to their brethren in Jerusalem which was in a famine time. They were to "Store up at home" so it would be ready for him, when he got there.

New King James: "lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper"
New American Standard " put aside and save"

SORRY, but that's all from the King James Bible.

Harold Lindsell [Editor] Christian Today Nov.5. 1976. " There is nothing in Scripture that requires us to keep Sunday rather than Saturday as a holy day."

Dr. E. T. Hiscox, author of the "Baptist Manual ."There is no scriptural evidence of the change of the Sabbath institution from the seventh to the first day day of the week."

10. So WHY? Why do most observe Sunday in place of Saturday's Sabbaths?
Revelation 13:3 "And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast."
Note: Just as the Bible, via John, revealed this fact over 2,000 years ago, it is still factual today, agree?

The Roman Church leaders, are not at least bashful about declaring they made this change, in fact one of their own even placed a $1,000.00 of his own money on this premise: " I have repeatedly offered $1,000 to anyone who can prove to me from the Bible alone, that I am bound to keep Sunday holy. There is no such law in the Bible. It is law of the Holy Catholic Church alone... and LO! The entire civilized world bows down in reverent obedience to the command of the Holy Roman Catholic Church!"
Priest Thomas Enright, C.SS.R. American Sentinel Journal June 1893 ,p. 173.[read Rev.13:3]

11. If, however you are looking for a reason to the why? Look at Daniel.
Daniel 7:24-26  "And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end."

Note: IF you, are looking for a reason for the why, the above verse is as good as it gets in His word, but for one other location:

2 Thessalonians 2:2-5  "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? "
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 " Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

When was the first such law, and what did it say?
The first RECORDED law for Sun day worship was by the Roman Emperor Constantine in March 7th 321 A.D. after he had his "Supposed conversion to Christianity. [(j.b) he was also the High Priest of Mithra, a sun-worshiping Pagan Religion, his coins showed both the Cross his face and the sun god on the obverse side]
HIS LAW: "Let all the judges ad towns people and the occupation of all trades rest on the venerable day of the sun." {in Latin Dies Solis}   Please know when this man moved to his new capital Constantinople [Istanbul Turkey] in 331 A.D. he gave his throne, and symbols of office and power to the then Bishop of the the church in Rome, It's leaders, the Popes, have held total power from that point to 1798 when Napoleon wanted to crown himself Emperor he had to remove the Pope which he did via General Berteir. This was.....

Revelation 13:3. "And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast."  [{j.b) this healing was not until 1929's Lateran Treaty]

12. What should humans do when men's laws conflicts with God's ?
Acts 5:29. " Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men."
Note: The easy answer to this question is with another question: "Who is able to save YOU for eternal life, man or God?"

ONCE Y O U FIND TRUTH, ARE YOU WILLING TO WALK IN IT?    YES OR no?
