9. REVELATION'' S SECRET TO A WHOLE NEW LIFE.

Revelation 1:5 . "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,"

NOTE: Baptism, the full immersion kind, is a Public Statement and a Visible Symbol that we accept that we are washed in the Blood of Christ; and symbol of our commitment, loyalty and allegiance to Jesus Christ, as our Personal Savior and Lord of our life"
Note 2: Not being Baptized, as was the believing prisoner on the Cross next to Christ, who said, "I tell you, this day, that you'll be with me in paradise. Please note the commas locations. Remember the NO price too high, telegram of years ago should have read No, price too high? There were only straight line words, no verses, no paragraphs nor marks of any type, present. This was all added in the Middle Ages!

Mark 16:1. " He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

NOTE: This verse gives no room for argument, but one...accept as written, either..... yes or no!

John 3:5. "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Note; Jesus answered a specific question on the "Born Again" topic, when faced with "How can a man enter again into his mother's womb", that's what Baptism symbolizes, Born from Above. To be placed under water, symbolic death, and to rise up out, being symbolic of re-birth, a new creature, and the old is dead and buried, This is also the why sprinkling will not do, nor flower petals and so forth.
Note 2: It also must be said, that a person MUST be to an age of accountability, to know the what, the why, and for whom the baptism is done, thus baby Baptism is wrong, Dedication or Christening is not Baptism.

Ephesians 4:5. "One Lord, one faith, one baptism,"

Note: Then why do we have 100's of diverse denominations today?  In a word MEN!
During the intense Protestant beginnings We had Martin Luther's Lutherans
We had Calvin's ideas, the Knox Baptists and the Anabaptist's . And each had doctrines the others did not, and that created, over time, further splits..

John 10:27. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"

Note: It is beyond any human to know, another' s heart, but God knows each heart!

Matthew 3:13-17. "Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Note: Jesus was an adult when Baptized in the Jordan River. There must be enough water depth, for total submersion.

John 3:23. "And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized."

Mark 1:9-10. "And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:"

Note: can or should men try to improve on the example set by Christ?  YES or NO?

Acts 8:39. "And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing."

Note: both went into the water, and Phillip baptized the eunuch by immersion.

Colossians 2:12. "Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead"

Note: in Baptism we are symbolically 'buried' with Christ, and all believers shall live again with Jesus, just as HE rose from the grave with a Glorious body, so shall all the just.

Romans 6:3-6 . "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."

Note: Baptism, a symbol of the Resurrection, represents death and the burial of the old life and ways, and the emergence to a new life in Jesus Christ. This is the why Christ is central, and Mary can NOT displace him, with human Tradition, no matter how old, or how long observed, it's still only of men!

Acts 2:38. "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost"

Note: Perhaps YOU, dear reader, have asked "Why is this important?"  Fair Question, this is an Election year, this November,{ as this is written} and you think one vote, perhaps YOURS, will be the deciding vote? Read on......>

Colossians 1:16-17. "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."

Note: Who remembers science stating that they know not why the atom exists, it, by laws of science should NOT exist, but fly apart? Of course science also holds that the Bumble Bee should NOT be able to fly, right? {Guees they don't speak "BEE" so they can tell them, right?}
Please refer back to the last sentence in the above Bible passage, "....and by Him all things consist."
Would you be interested to learn that this Greek word consist, actually is equivalent of our holds to- gether? ALL THINGS!

Mark 16:16. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

Note: The Bible does not always show male and female, thus he included the she! Now do you read of anyone being excluded as believers? NO!

.Acts 2:41-42. "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Note: They that received His word, with gladness were Baptized. They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrine and instructions.{Growing in His Word, by daily study}

Matthew 28:19-20. "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Note: Jesus gave authority to baptize only to His disciples who taught each aspect of truth as He commanded it. He commissioned His disciples, who in turn taught all of His command, to baptize.

1 Corinthians 12:13. "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."

Note: Baptism in INTO the body which is the Church.
Acts 2:46-47. "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved"

Acts 22:16. "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Now dear reader, I know not about you, but this verse to me, lifted a heavy burden from me!
