THE FORGOTTEN LAW. Part 1.

WHAT ARE THE 10 COMMANDMENTS, AND WHAT'S THEIR PURPOSE?

• Deuteronomy 4:13. "And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone."
• Proverbs 3:1-2. "My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee."
• Proverbs 29:18. "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."
• Romans 3:20. "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin."

Note: God wrote the Ten Pillars, read them in Exodus 20:1-18, on stone tablets, with His own finger. {Why stone? For permanency] Exodus 31:28 confirms it. For without law, there can only be terror, agree?They are meant to be a guide for happy, abundant living and to help people to determine what's right and wrong. They protect humanity from the impurities, from false-hoods, murder, idolatry theft and many other evils that destroy peace and joy.

• James 1:2. " But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."

Note: GOD' s Law acts as a mirror, pointing out our wrongs, like a mirror shows us dirt on our faces. This is why those who reject Christ, hate the Law, because it shows them up for what they are, sin-filled.  Thus it is the hope for this world, as when we ignore them, the results are always pain, unrest and even tragedy!

AMAZING FACT: In 1998, Americans LOST $60 Billion in legal gambling, and it's getting worse! Almost every state has now some form of legal gambling and now the Internet and phone gambling have made it even easier! Gambling income and taxes now account for most states' revenue, so it's highly unlikely it will ever be outlawed! Money is what???? The root of all - - -.

BUT. . .  WHAT IS SIN?

• 1 John 3:4. "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

Note: Sin is breaking GOD' s law, and since it, direct and within the spirit of the law is perfect Psalm 19:7 it covers every conceivable sin. It is NOT possible to commit a sin that is not somehow condemned by at least one of God' s ten Pillars.

But. . .but DID NOT JESUS' GRACE DO AWAY WITH THE LAW?   {no!}

• Matthew 5:17. "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill."
• Luke 16:17. "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail."
• Romans 6:14-15. "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid."
• Romans 3:31. "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."
• Ecclesiastes 12:12-14. "And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."

WHAT ABOUT THE LAW NAILED TO THE CROSS?

• Colossians 2:14. "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"

"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;  Deuteronomy 31:24. And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,  Deuteronomy 31:26. "Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee."

NOTE: This was, all the Ceremonial Laws, of blood, and food stuff, sacrifices, and the Annual Sabbaths, the Feast days, all of which pointed forwards to the REAL SACRIFICE by Christ!

AS there can be no greater sacrifice, the Laws of Ceremony where done away with and nailed to his cross! {Col. 2:14]

NOTE: All who use this teaching, are in point of fact, changing GOD' s GRACE to DISGRACE!

• Isaiah 42:21. "The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honorable."

Note: He who hates his brother is guilty of murder!. 1 John 3:15. " Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him."  #6 1 John 4:20. "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" [not bear false witness #9] Matthew 5:27-28. "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.} #7.

     Please know and remember, GOD' s Grace as as a Presidential Pardon. If we receive a pardon for our crimes-sins, would it be OK to keep on sinning, yes or no?

BUT,WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KEEP GOD' S LAW?

• Romans 6:23. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
• James 2:12. "So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty." [Law of Liberty? Keeping the law frees us from Satan and the penalty of sin]
• Isaiah 13:9. "Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it."
• Revelation 12:17 . "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

Note: Near the time of the end [ no not the end of time] There shall be just two camps of people, those who follow God's Ways, and those who follow the ways of men and their Traditions! 

     Regarding the Judgment, all shall  be judged within the the Ten Commandments, for they are both GOD' s Standards and HIS character!

• James 4:17. "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."

Note: Where do we find and learn what is good and what is not?  The Holy Bible!

OK, IS IT REALLY. . . POSSIBLE TO KEEP ALL THE COMMANDMENTS?

• John 14:15. "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
• 1 JOHN 5:3. "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."{BURDERSOME]
• Hebrews 8:10-11. "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:  And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest"

Note: How can we humans do this within ourselves? We can not! BUT......

• .Philippians 4:13. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me"
• .Revelation 14:12. "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."

The Bible always ties obedience to love. Born from above { or again} Christians do not find it a burden to keep the Ten Commandments {Pillars] . Christ only pardons repentant sinners, but HE also restores the the Image of GOD within them. It is Jesus that brings us into harmony with the law, via the Holy Spirit, via the indwelling. God could not change His law, but He is able to change you and me through the blessing of Christ's gift to us of His perfect life on the Cross, and change the sinners heart/mind so that we can live up to the measure and meanings of the Law! 

• Ezekiel 36:25-28. "Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God."

OK, BUT HOW DOES THE DEVIL FEEL ABOUT GOD'S LAW?

NOTE: Are you of a mind, that IF you desire to follow Jesus Christ as He set the example? If yes then.....

• Exodus 20:8-11. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it."
• Luke 4:16. "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read."

Note Jesus Christ kept the Seventh day Sabbath, yet most "Christians keep the first day of the week for worship, why?  WHY? 

• Revelation 12:17. "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

Note: when Satan found out this did not work, during the great mass murders, the persecution of Christians, by Roman legions, he decided to deceive them instead by..... 

• Daniel 7:24-25. "And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."     [read my blogs on Daniel for deeper study]

Note. Satan, that old devil, "Slew-foot" hates all who hold up GOD's laws, which is fully based upon His government System. If you choose GOD' s ways, you'll soon feel Satan's anger, but our trust/faith in God will shield us from all of Satan attempts if we but give Jesus permission to do so on our behalf!

     Sadly, many think that they can combine both GOD's Laws and human traditions into the same single package, but that can not work! No man , nor men can change what God has set forth, the Sabbath is a Holy day, set apart for a Holy Purpose, and Sunday the first day of the week is but a common day and men can';t make it holy. no matter what they claim! Nor can any make a Holy day the Seventh Day into a common day no matter if it was Constantine or all the Popes since his day, what GOD has created no man can change, God even forecast it by using Daniel in the above verse!

SO. . .WHO INVOKED THIS CHANGE FOR THE DAY OF WORSHIP?

 The Catholic Universe Bulletin, August 14,, 1942.  " The Church changed the a\observance to Sunday by divine right, infallible authority given her by her founder, Jesus Christ.   [Please book ,chapter and verse showing this authority} . The Protestant claiming the Bible to be the only guide of faith, has no warrant for observing Sunday. In this matter the Seventh day Adventist is the consistent Protestant."

Note: The Catholic Church did not come into existence as Christian {mostly} until nearly three hundred years after the Cross of 31 A.D! She did not come into what she is today, until 538 A.D. or nearly 350 years after John wrote the book of Revelations, the youngest/newest  one written!
