In chapter four as we studied, Daniel 8:14 we discovered some amazing facts concerning a prophecy that covered some 2,300 years, of this world's history, written about 500, years before Christ! In fact one part of this very prophecy is the 1260 year portion that showed Rome as the persecuting power, from 538 A.D [ Daniel 7:8. she removed the three powers-horns, thus ruled unopposed] through to 1798 A.D. when France's Napoleon's General Berthier took the Pope prisoner, disbanded the Vatican civil powers at that time, This not not restored to her until 1927 by Benito Mussolini and Gaspari, in the treaty of that year. This is the why the Vatican now has over 80 embassies in her boarders, and a seat at the U.N. the ONLY church on earth has this! Because she is a sovereign nation of 114 Acres, that wants to rule the world! Read Rev.13:2 know that Satan is this dragon, NOW THINK! The Bible has given us all the knowledge we need for our safety in salvation.
Daniel 8:14 "And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed."
We also learned, that this great foretelling, was to be divided into two parts, twp sections of time.The first covered, the 490 days/years, and the second covered the remaining 1810 years.....
"......then shall the Sanctuary be cleansed."
However, before we make the same mistake as many did in 1844 A.D. we must make sure, and understand WHICH Sanctuary shall be cleansed, agee? You may recall, there were TWO Sanctuaries at that time, ONE, which Moses guided the building of it, and latter The Solomon temple in Jerusalem, which continued just beyond the Time of Christ on this earth, and the ONE ORIGINAL built without hands, in Heaven!
Hebrews 9:1-9 "Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercy-seat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;"
The time period covered by this first Covenant [as in contract] , Paul has told us of the Sanctuary that was here on earth. He describes it in the these verses:
Hebrews 9:2-5 " For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercy seat; of which we cannot now speak particularly."
Note (JB):Therefore, none should confuse the two Tabernacles, the Original in Heaven and the copy on this earth., that was no more since A.D.70.
The earthy Tabernacle {Hebrew for tent, as it was made to be portable}, services were preformed until the day when Solomon's Temple was built; then continued in it. Later, in the days of Zechariah the Prophet, the temple was rebuilt, because the Babylonian's destroyed this temple. This was the Temple in the days that Jesus walked upon this earth, until Rome removed it and destroyed the nation, and renamed it Palestine in 70 A.D
Note (JB): Does this not negate the Arab's claim, of ancestral homelands, when the jews had another 1,000 years of occupancy? Ishmael, Abraham's son with his wife Sarah' slave Koturah, he is NOT the child of the Promise!
Genesis 16:11-12 "And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."
Now know there shall not ever be "PEACE", in this region, between the Jew and the Arab, until Jesus' return!
As you recall, from the previous chapters, the ENTIRE SANCTUARY SERVICE was symbolic of Christ's Priestly Ministry and Christ was represented in each and every Sacrifice. From the daily, to the yearly Day of Atonement, all this was but a "Shadow" that point to Jesus Christ's self sacrifice, yet to come, at that time!
We should also remember that each and every article connected with the sanctuary, pointed to the Lord Jesus Christ as our Redeemer:
THE GOLDEN CANDLESTICK: Symbolic of Jesus, John 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
THE TABLE OF SHEWBREAD:John 6:35 "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."
THE ALTER OF INCENSE: Revelation 8:4 "And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand" Symbolic of the Holy Spirit*
*note (jb): If can think of God, The Father, as a TRANSMITTER, then the Holy Spirit, that can....note can upon our invite, dwell within, as HIS, RECEIVER do not ask me how, God said it, and I accept it, in this manner, for my understanding.
THE MERCY SEAT: symbolic of God's Throne depicts our atonement, and His grace, via the Blood of Christ.
THE ALTER OF BURNT OFFERINGS: served to represent Christ's sacrifice. He who freely offered Himself up to die for us all, willingly.
THE LAVER; which pointed to Christ as the ONE Who cleanses us and makes us acceptable before the very presence of our great Father-God!
Is it not a marvelous revelation that the entire Sanctuary service was symbolic of Christ's Priestly ministry? He was represented in every sacrifice, and in each and every step of the service, and fulfilled both phases of the Priesthood-- the first by dying for fallen ma n, and the second by pleading before the Father for each and every repentant sinner, that confessed their sins.. But all of these things... the articles and the furnishings of the earthly Sanctuary, as well as the system of animal sacrifices performed by the earthly priests, all this came to and end when Christ, The Lamb of God, hung on the Cross, and dying when He cried, "IT IS FINISHED"; and the Inner veil of the Temple was ripped from the top to the bottom, by unseen hands! This represented Christ's body being torn in death.
Note(JB): The torn veil, represented, man's ability to in prayer, approach the Throne of God, in the name of Jesus, to petition the Father. Humans no longer need a prophet, nor a human priest, to speak for them.
Hebrews 8:1-2 " Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man."
It is this Sanctuary that is to be cleaned, and finished just prior to the close of PROBATION. This is where Jesus is now meditating on our behalf. Can you now understand, that the earthly Sanctuary, as for the time frame covered by the Old Testament, but the Heavenly Sanctuary is covering the New Testament, the new and everlasting Covenant. This was put into place with Christ's blood and His human life, and the Heavenly Sanctuary took the place of the earthly one that was fully destroyed i n 70 A.D.
The earthly priests had ministered until Christ was crucified, when the Lamb of God offered up His life once and for all, Jesus entered the Heavenly sanctuary as our eternal High Priest.
Hebrews 8:8-10 " For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:"
The priests, under the old Covenant performed their ministry in relationship to the Ten Commandments. So, Jesus Christ, our permanent High Priest, now in Heaven, will under the same laws, the same Ten Commandment, the Original Law of God.Yet, what is He saying, or telling us in the above passage?
We are under a new contract, a new Covenant in where He will write His laws onto our hearts and minds, so He is saying: "I will give you a new heart, and write my laws in your heart."
However, He did not say "I will abolish my covenant, and give you a new law" and neither did He say "I will give grace to supercede the Ten Commandments." What God is telling all is... trying to convey that He will write His law in our hearts/minds and bring our lives into conformity to His precepts, IF WE ALLOW IT! It's really all that simple, as all who desire eternal life, with loving obedience, shall gain it.
Thus we can know, that Jesus pleads our case before the Father with His pierced hands and shed blood, on our repentant self.
1 John 2:1-2 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
Note(JB)" There's none going to Heaven with Jesus, at His Second Coming, unless they have allowed Christ's blood and His righteousness, to cover their manifold sins.
In other words: Jesus is saying: "Father, my blood, my blood, I have shed my blood for those, and those who love me, for these dear ones I claim by the merits of my sacrifice, on Calvary, and plead that You Father, accept My sinless life for these sinful lives."
Yet we must always remember this: Hebrews 7:25-26 "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;"
Note(JB): The "HE" is of course Jesus Christ, our High eternal priest.
From 34 A.D. until 1844 Christ ministered within the first apartment, the Most Holy unit, as per the new Covenant. In 1844, Christ entered within the Veil, into the Most holy of holies, the Second Apartment, just as the earthly priests did annually, on the Day of Atonement, to cleanse the earthly sanctuary.
This is what we read in Daniel 8:14:
Daniel 8:14 "And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed."
So Christ entered the Second Apartment in 1844 to finish the mediatorial work,, to becoming our
advocate. Thus very soon, Jesus is going to be finished, and He will cast down His censer, as our Great High Priest, and He shall say.......
Revelation 22:10-12 " And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."
At that point in time, our probation closes, and our appeals to Heaven shall not reach it. For all the times since 1844, to present, Jesus has been cleansing the Sanctuary, first for the Just dead, that shall arise at His return, and soon, all the living, shall be judged...
Hebrews 9:28 " So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."
If Y O U ans I, were able to see Heaven's Record Books,, we'd feel helpless and hopeless, BUT for Christ' sacrifice and effort, ALL who have confessed their sins ain repentance, to these Jesus will say: "I will blot out their sins, as I have covered them all with my Blood"
Yet none should dare to presume their own salvation, without confessions of their sins for they shall hear.....
"Depart from me,ye that work iniquity {lawlessness], I never knew thee." Matthew 7:23 +/-. They will bear their own guilt, and be lost as they are cast into the Lake of Fire, and be instantly died and reduced to ashes.
NOTE (JB): Jesus Christ, HE alone can save us, none other, and man-made edifice, nor church, nor human priest is able, all that is but "Tradition of men"..
Matthew 15:3 " But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"
Matthew 15:6 "And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition."
Mark 7:9 " And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition."
Mark 7:13 " Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye"
Colossians 2:8 " Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.."
1 Peter 1:18" Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;"
It is the Roman Catholic Church, and its allies in Ecumenicalism, are the most tradition bound, in fact Rome holds it own historical writings above that of the Bible, which is the reason they differ so much in doctrine from the Bible! Plus the why of these verses.........
Revelation 18:2-4" And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues"
Revelation 13:2 " And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 " Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
1 John 2:18 " Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time."
Note(JB) this suffers from a poor translation, instead of against of anti, it should read in place of, or instead of Christ, That's Satan's attempt to deceive.
Lastly this verse:
Daniel 7:25-26 "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end."
NOTE(JB): There's but ONE and only one religious power on earth that all of Daniel 2, 7th chapters points to, and that is the Vatican's leadership! They even claim, to have the God-given powers to change God's laws! And they have done so! Even with the Ten Commandments the second the fourth, and the 10th split into two due to the second's elimination, but only in their Catechism books! They discourage us reading the Bible! It's far too complicated for us folks Thus they use a dead language Latin or the pagan Roman empire!
They have been playing us for nearly 2,000 years, and Daniel 7:25-26 "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end."
Daniel 2:45 " Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure."
The Stone...Jesus Christ our ROCK!
Destroy it unto the end.... When He Jesus returns, He will put an total end to this Power that mixed civil and church in one rule, before and and shall again near the end....
Revelation 13:2 " And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."
Revelation 13:16-17 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
This church ruled State and Church as one, where ever they had a church, on earth, just as they did in the Dark Ages!. The last Court of Inquisition closed its doors in 1890, i n Peru! That's 128 years ago! She has not changed one iota of her laws and doctrines, only she says otherwise, and just as Satan , they lie alike a cheap rug!
