WE KNOW THE BIBLE IS TRUE.
1. Because it's the only Book that tell us the origins of the world.[evolution has more holes than good bread]
2. Because it is the only Book that tells the future, not a one prophecy, come to pass, as written,has failed.
3. Because it's the only Book that has and will change people, and their lives. Drunks get and stay sober, the gambler quits, as does the users of tobacco, the philanderer now stays true, in short become new.
4. Because it does not contradict itself, even though it was written over a span of 1,500 years, by men and women, most of whom never knew the others, in three languages : Hebrew, Aramaic, and. Greek, all with full harmony within.
John 10:35 " If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;"
5. Because it gives hope and comfort to every one who will accept it, no matter who one is, or where one lives, or how one lives. No other book is able to do all that, period.
6. Because ancient records found in the earth have fully agreed with it.
7> Because the Science of Archaeology, is the only science, that has no problem with the Bible of God!
TO TAKE THE FIRST STEP UP THE LADDER OF YOUR CONVERSION
#1. One must accept and believe that God is and the Bible is His Word.
.2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith [trust] it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
John 14:1-3 " Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
Isaiah 46:9-10 "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:"
Isaiah 41:20-22 "That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come."
Genesis 1:1-2 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."
Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
NOTE: (J.B.) man became a what? A living soul,, so a soul is NOT something added apart from men!
#2. We must believe that the Bible is the word of God.
.2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
2 Peter 1:21 " For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
John 5:38-39 "And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
1 Thessalonians 2:12-13 "That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."
# 3. We must accept and believe, that Jesus came from Heaven to save sinners.
John 3:15-16 "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:17-19 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."
1 John 4:2-3 "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." [antichrist is better translated as: "Instead of Christ." JB]
1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
Note: Please take the time to read John, 17th chapter it Christ's prayer.
Luke 24:25-27 " Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself."
Note: Please know, the ONLY Scriptures they and Jesus had at that time was the Old Testament, Mark the first book written did not appear until A.D. 67-68. some 30+ years after Christ's death.
#4. We must accept His invitation to come to Him. [He uses only love and truth, Satan uses all else.]
Matthew 11:28-30 " Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Revelation 22:17 "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
Note. the Bride is His Church members, Christ is the groom, all within a spiritual context.
Isaiah 1:18-19 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:"
Note: Please understand this, God created each one of us, died for each one of us, does that not give Him some rights over us? If Y O U make something, does that not give you some rights and say how it is to used?
Luke 5:31-32 "And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
#5. We must believe that He accepts us as His children, no matter our past.
Acts 16:30-31 " And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
NOTE: Nationality can't save you, neither can any mortal, nor church that's only by Jesus Christ.
Mark 9:23-24 "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."
1 Timothy 1:14-15 "And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."
Mark 11:24-26 " Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses."
Note: (J.B.) All of the above, without your earnest prayers, will not be a any great help, but with prayers, and your acceptance of Christ, as YOUR savior, wisdom shall be given you to understand, and the Holy Spirit will reside within you to teach, to guide,j and YES to re-build you into a new person.
1 Corinthians 6:19 "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"
1 Thessalonians 4:8 " He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit."
Note: Please Read John 14, the Holy Spirit, The Comforter, Vs. 17 The Spirit of Truth. ar3e all names of the Holy Spirit.
